Noah looked at himself in the car's rearview mirror after tidying up. There was nothing he could do about his red, tear-filled eyes.
He glanced around the car to see if there was anything to cover his swollen eyes. He found candies and a pair of sunglasses. He tried the sunglasses, but they were a women's style, too small for his large face. In the end, he could only head in quickly with his head down, braving those red eyes.
When he entered the private room, Lucas, who had already ordered the food, was dining with Charlotte Allison.
"Brother, sister-in-law." His greeting was somewhat awkward because just a moment ago he had been crying ugly tears.
"Eat." Lucas glanced at him briefly, offering only those two words.
"Your brother just ordered your favorite spicy diced chicken, but it hasn't come yet," Charlotte added.
"Really?" Noah's slumped invisible ears seemed to perk up instantly, even swaying joyously.
