It was Charlotte Allison's first time visiting Lucas Quinn's residence in the Quinn family home.
As soon as she entered, she smelled a faint scent of roses and immediately noticed the vase in the living room filled with blooming roses.
Lucas had stayed here so infrequently that you could count the number of nights on ten fingers. Most of the decor had been arranged by Mr. Quinn years ago. Since they were staying here today, someone had been asked to clean in advance and add some flowers for decoration.
The master bedroom was on the second floor. There was nothing in the wardrobe, the bed linens were brand new, and the toiletries in the bathroom were all disposable.
To Lucas, this place felt more like a hotel than a home.
He used to think that as long as there was a bed, any place was fine, so he wasn't picky about where he stayed.
But things were different now, and he still found the meticulously arranged room unsatisfactory.
