"What are you doing?!" Miss Hayes covered her face, only revealing her eyes as she glared angrily at the stranger who had ruined her good thing.
"Miss Hayes." Ann Morris accurately recognized her and called out her name. "Obviously, I'm stopping you from touching him."
"I'm talking to Mr. Shipton, what's it to you?!" Once Miss Hayes realized she'd been recognized, she dropped the hand covering her face, turned to look at Mr. Shipton, her gaze seductive and coy. "Mr. Shipton, this person is such an eyesore."
She was certain that with Mr. Shipton's fondness for her and her own charm, he must have been thoroughly teased into a daze just now. If not for this person showing up, she would've already entered Mr. Shipton's room.
