When Ann Morris arrived at Madam Sanders' hospital room, the anesthesia hadn't worn off yet. Ann sat for several minutes, only staring at Madam Sanders' heart monitor.
Seeing her grandmother was safe brought her nerves down to rest.
When she returned to Henry Shipton's room, Eason Chalmers was still there. Ann greeted him, saying she'd come back for dinner, and prepared to leave the hospital to return to the office.
In the parking lot, she encountered Ethan Sanders, his wife, and Sophia Lee.
The three of them looked slightly fatigued, especially Sophia Lee whose eyes were red and swollen, indicating she'd been crying.
Seeing Ann Morris, Sophia Lee rushed over and immediately asked, "Where did Marcus go?"
"Is he your husband or mine? Why would you ask me about his matters?" Ann replied indifferently.
She knew well how Mr. Allison would deal with Marcus Sanders, but she also knew that if he dared to lay hands on Henry, Mr. Allison would not let him off easily.
