A few of them went back to Qiao Jiezhe's place. Qiao Qiqi looked listless, her expression drained; it was obvious she'd really been scared by what happened today.
Qiao Jiezhe was also extremely upset. As soon as they walked in he asked, "What exactly happened? How did you end up going to see those people alone?"
"I… I was originally going with my agent. She had something come up at the last minute and couldn't go. I've never run into something like this before, so I just went by myself." Qiao Qiqi's face was pale, like a child who'd done something wrong.
"And you didn't think to run?" Qiao Jiezhe was truly furious.
Hearing him, Qiao Qiqi couldn't stop her tears from falling.
"Enough, let her rest first. Don't blame her anymore. This was an accident, nobody wanted this to happen." Qiao Jiezhe signaled to Mr. Qiao to stop talking.
But Mr. Qiao was still irritable. Seeing how upset Qiao Qiqi was, though, he shut his mouth.
