Half an hour passed, and still nothing happened.
"Did the person who fired the gun get carried off by coyotes?" Walker joked, though the darkness made him slightly uneasy inside.
Luke checked the doors and windows again, making sure they were locked, "We'll take turns for the night watch tonight, you sleep first."
This time Walker didn't put away the revolver, he placed it at the bedside, took off his shoes and sat on the bed, "That's the charm of adventure, full of uncertainties, danger mixed with excitement."
The gunshot made Walker a little uneasy, but at the same time, there was a hint of excitement inside him. He lay on the bed, faintly enjoying the feeling.
He felt they made the right choice in buying the motorhome. If they were stuck in a tent, even with Luke there, he would feel uneasy; but a motorhome is different, it's like an iron-clad barrier that gives them enough protection.
