Luke reloaded his magazine, kept a vigilant watch with his gun, and slowly ascended to the second floor.
Upstairs was a middle-aged black man, shot in the right arm, shoulder, and leg, lying on the ground and gasping heavily.
Luke approached, kicked away his AK47 with one foot. The gunshot wounds on the arm and shoulder were inflicted by Luke, while the leg seemed to have been hit by a stray bullet, the wound not too severe, possibly caused by a shotgun.
Luke asked, "How are you guys doing?"
David replied, "I got hit by a stray bullet on my back, it's not a big deal.
Mrs. Dumait got hit by a stray bullet in her leg, it needs to be stopped bleeding.
How about you? Are you hurt?"
"No."
In such a confined space, ricochets happen easily, bullets bouncing unpredictably. Although their power doesn't match regular bullets, hitting a vital spot can still be deadly, which is why soldiers wear helmets on the battlefield.
