It started to rain outside the window that morning.
Ning Youguang got up and went downstairs, finding her grandfather sitting on the sofa, puffed up with anger.
She tiptoed over and sat down next to her aunt.
"What's wrong with Grandpa?" she asked softly.
Xie Haitang, quietly sipping her morning tea on the sofa, pursed her lips, smiled without saying anything, and just glanced to the side.
Following her gaze, Ning Youguang saw a big black cat curled up in a ball with its head buried away, on the corner cabinet not far away.
"Did Xiaoxiao cause trouble?" she continued to ask softly.
"Early this morning, it broke one of your grandfather's cherished antique vases," Xie Haitang said softly.
Ning Youguang sneaked a glance at her grandfather, "No wonder he's so angry."
Xie Haitang nodded, "Yes, he was just about to explode, even threatening to give it a good beating."
