The wind was blowing cold outside, with rain falling.
Inside, Jiang Wei was pouring tea for Ning Youguang, her every move elegant with traces of deliberate practice.
"How does it feel to stay on after graduation and become a teacher?" she asked.
"It's pretty good," Ning Youguang said, "It's the state I like."
Jiang Wei smiled softly, her face showing complex emotions, "I really envy girls like you with good family backgrounds, always able to do what you love."
Ning Youguang picked up the teacup and took a sip, "The tea you brewed is really delicious."
The complexity faded from Jiang Wei's face, and she laughed, "If you like it, have some more. I got my tea artist certification last year."
Ning Youguang praised, "Impressive, no wonder the tea tastes so good."
"It's not impressive, just something required for work," Jiang Wei sighed.
After a while, she continued, "Oh, you probably don't know what job I do now, right?"
