There were all kinds of fruits, all neatly cut: bright yellow mangoes, lychee with a jelly-like hue, green kiwi, as well as bananas and watermelon.
Under the lighting, they were irresistible and tempting.
"Which piece would you like to eat?" The man lifted a corner of his lips, noticing the sparkle in her eyes, and asked with a gentle laugh.
"Lychee!" Emma Benson gestured towards him and watched as he placed a piece of lychee flesh in her mouth, "It's very fresh! The skin is tiny! It must have been picked from Summer Garden..."
Emma Benson smiled, only now remembering it was already lychee season. Summer Garden must be bountiful by now, right?
"Summer Garden..." Walter Schmidt's lips curved upwards, his thoughts seemingly drifting back to years ago, recalling how Tara Summer tried to matchmake them and even had them go to Summer Garden to pick lychees together.
