Seeing her grabbing him to leave, not taking her books, not even her phone, Walter Schmidt pulled her back.
He pointed at his watch and said, "Forgot the time, didn't you? It's almost twelve now, shouldn't we go eat?"
"Twelve?" Fiona Schmidt grabbed her phone, checked the time, and indeed it was eleven fifty-five, "It's so late already, I really didn't pay attention!"
She stuck out her tongue. Ever since she returned to school yesterday, she had been so engrossed in reading that she forgot the time, only remembering to eat when her stomach was growling. Truly, 'burning the midnight oil' described this diligent graduate perfectly.
"You silly thing..." Walter Schmidt shook his head with a smile, personally tidied the books on her table, then grabbed her hand, leading her out of the library.
On their way out of the library, many eyes were on them, especially the female students, looking at Walter Schmidt as if they wanted to devour him.
