"Why... why is he here?" Tracy clutched the blanket tightly.
Her heart was pounding, as if she were suffocating. At the thought of that night, her mind went blank, and even breathing felt difficult.
"Probably just flew overnight here; the old lady is so impatient, it's not surprising," Anni analyzed, patting her hand, reminding her, "Go out and face him, no matter what."
Tracy glanced at her, her delicate brows furrowed tightly, contemplating for a moment, nervously gripping the blanket, almost tearing a hole in the sheets.
Her heart was beating furiously, as if it would leap out. She sat there, and finally decided to go out and meet him. She threw off the blanket, got out of bed, draped a long knit cardigan over her nightgown, and headed toward the door.
Standing at the doorway, she paused for several minutes, taking deep breaths, then opened the door to go out.
