The tall back was like a statue, perfectly upright, yet exuding a certain coolness and arrogance.
Walter Schmidt had been taking care of the child all night, with a total resting time of less than two hours. When dawn broke and the child cried, he got up to feed the milk formula and couldn't fall back asleep, so he went downstairs.
As he passed through the hall, he saw Norton Abyss standing outside, and he frowned, walking over with heavy steps.
The man seemed deeply absorbed in thought, not even noticing Walter standing behind him.
"Up so early?" Walter walked up to him, standing shoulder to shoulder.
Norton Abyss suddenly turned his head, and upon seeing him, his cold, handsome face relaxed somewhat.
"Couldn't sleep, so I got up." He said lightly, his gaze returning to that hint of red on the horizon.
