But it makes sense. When I arrived outside the Fifth Ring Road this morning, it was just past six. Now it's almost four, so it's indeed been over nine hours.

The so-called abalone sauce isn't abalone juice, but rather the sauce used to cook abalone. Like sea cucumber, abalone itself doesn't have much taste and relies entirely on the sauce for flavor.
Abalone sauce is specifically for making abalone, especially dried abalone.
