"The making of wedding pastries isn't so hard!"
Chen Meijuan divided the dough into portions, rolling each into a small ball. Shen Jiayue took a small rolling pin and simply flattened them. A dough was completed.
If it's just the last step, it's indeed not hard.
But in pastry-making, the steps that rely on experience are always dividing portions and adding fillings. As for rolling the dough into flatbreads, you don't even need a rolling pin for that.
Simply press it flat with your hand, and it still becomes a dough.
"My daughter-in-law is really clever, she learned how to make flatbread right away."
Chen Meijuan praised her a couple of times and then helped Lin Xu with the fillings.
Several kinds of fillings need to be carefully wrapped in dough, then kneaded a bit, finally rolled into flatbreads.
Place these doughs on a baking tray, open the oven, take out the risen doughs, and replace them with new ones.
"So fast, why did the dough rise so quickly?"
