The clear sky began to change.
The giant platform floating on the water shattered again, transforming into clouds that swept around, then drifted upward.
Kane and the others could distinctly feel the ground beneath them rising, and after a powerful flash, they returned once more to the high platform they had been on before.
The statue towering in the center of the broad platform reached the clouds, as if it had never been fractured.
Aiklonen stood beneath the statue, once again transformed into a spectral presence, waiting for Kane and the others.
"To be able to pass on everything I've learned in my lifetime to the next generation at death, it's truly comforting."
As he spoke, Kane and the others slowly approached.
"As strong as you are, will you also perish?"
Listening to Kane, Aiklonen looked up toward the night sky and sighed softly, "I'm not strong enough to avoid perishing, and I'm already dead; what remains is merely a trace of soul."
