Jaxon struggled as he attempted to crawl on his belly.
"What are you doing!? What is happening? Jaxon!" June yelled. Jaxon cried out as he pointed to a zombie attacking Siera and Susan.
Both Susan and Siera managed to avoid getting attacked but were hit by a shock wave and the zombie that was attacking Susan and Siera was killed by the shock wave. As they watched Susan and Siera faint, a loud boom was heard. Turning around, they noticed a giant, black hole had appeared in the middle of the plaza, causing the ground to collapse from underneath them as well.
Hayley and June grabbed both Siera and Susan, they tried to run away from the falling plaza when Jaxon stopped them.
"No! Stay together! You'll fall if you go separate ways!" He ordered.
Before either of them could answer him a loud explosion came from the ground right under them causing the group of people to lose balance and fall backwards.
The impact caused the earth beneath them to shake violently and small pieces of rubble fell around them. After a couple of seconds, the tremors died down and Jaxon landed on his stomach, while Susan and the rest landed in the water.
Water splashed all around them. As Susan and the rest stood up and looked around, they realized that they had somehow fallen into a spring.
Soaking wet they looked at each other in shock, trying to understand what had just happened.
"Are you guys okay?" Susan asked as she walked towards the unconscious Jaxon with water dripping down her long curly hair.
"Yeah, but Jaxon... something's wrong," June said worriedly as she knelt beside him. She checked his breathing before taking out a bottle and pouring its content inside his mouth.
"Where did you get that?" Hayley asked curiously.
June answered: " There are some at the stores in the base."
"How convenient." Siera quipped with a pleasant surprise in her voice.
June nodded and smiled before walking towards the edge of the water.

Jaxon groaned as he opened his eyes. He sat up, dazed and confused as he stared around him.
He looked down and found himself in a field of wheat, the sun glowed brightly through the tall grass and flowers.
"Huh?" He mumbled confusedly.
Looking around him, he noticed that everyone was missing.
He tried to stand up but felt dizzy. As he stumbled towards a nearby flower bush he looked around. The whole village lay destroyed and scattered.
"Oh no! What happened?" he said as he started crying.
"Why am I crying?" he thought. He was puzzled as he touched his cheek tenderly to check if there was any blood. No blood, only tears.
Jaxon sighed. "Is this my life now?" He mumbled sadly.
Before he knew it, he fell to the ground and passed out. When he woke up, the sun was already starting to set. He tried to recall how he ended up in the field of wheat, but nothing was clear.
"Jaxon!"
Turning around, he saw a woman running towards him. She was wearing a white blouse, a dark blue skirt and matching shoes. Her short hair blonde was tied up in a ponytail and her brown eyes looked concerned.
"Who are you?" He asked. "And how did I end up here?"
Pausing in shock, the blonde woman looked at Jaxon with tears in her brown eyes. "You've lost all memory of your family?"
"...?..." Jaxon stood up.
The blonde shook her head as she began to cry softly.
A cold chill ran down Jaxon's spine.
"What's going on?" He asked nervously as he took a step back towards the fields behind him. 'Somethings wrong, I have to get out of here!'
(A/N): I apologize for not posting more lately. Because I don't have an editor my progress has been slowed down, plus school work has finally caught up to me. I have run out of concepts for the novel. And I'm not sure if people are even reading my story, so I thought of giving up on the story, I am also low on cash, so at times my wifi would stop working. But I showed my classmates the story and they said they loved it, so I have been thinking about making the novel into a hard copy for them to read. I will check in a week about what I should do, if the results are satisfactory I'll keep writing here. (Don't worry I'll still post more in the meantime.) but do enjoy my story.
