Well… I wasn't going to let myself get punched so I just raised my palm and caught her fist, stopping it short of hitting me.
I peeked out from behind my hand, "Umm… I get that your emotions are running high right now but maybe we can calm down a little and talk instead?"
She tried to pull her fist back but I made sure to hold onto it and she found that she could not actually free herself from my grip.
Since I have her attention now, I cleared my throat to begin.
"Ahem… I don't even know why you're upset at me to begin with… It's not like I told Odeta to break their hearts or something. I would say it's the fault of the difference in culture so there really isn't anything to be mad at…"
She was still trying to pull her fist back from me but she remained stuck so I wasn't even sure if she was even listening to me.
