One of the seven original figures spoke up from his position near the crater's edge.
His voice carried clearly across the scorched ground. "Lord Ahox, the second seal is prepared. We can begin the ritual whenever you're ready."
Ahox turned his helmeted head slowly. The movement was measured and deliberate. He looked toward Velion who stood a few paces away. "How long will it take?"
Velion stepped forward slightly. His expression was respectful but confident. "Several hours for each seal," he answered. His tone was matter of fact.
"The rituals are complex and cannot be rushed. But with your presence lending power to the formation, the process should be smoother than when we freed you."
Ahox considered this information. The red glow from his helmet's eye slits pulsed once. "Then we should not delay." He began walking toward the crater's edge.
