The atmosphere at Dreiberg Manor was filled with joy, perhaps it was due to the festivities, or maybe it was just her imagination, but Elise Don felt that Aunt Jade was dressed more formally than usual today.
She wore a modestly colored traditional Chinese button-up top, with sleeves slightly short, perfectly showcasing a mutton-fat jade bracelet on her right wrist, exuding richness and elegance.
Elise handed her handbag over to Aunt Jade, complimenting her twice, and Aunt Jade's demeanor became even more spirited.
As she walked into the living room, both Michael Dreiberg and Nathan Perry were present, chatting and laughing. Upon seeing Elise, Marian Bloom waved her over.
"We were just talking about which child would arrive first today and get to eat the largest mooncake. Lily, you're the first! Oliver was hurrying as well, but he just reached the foot of the mountain, still a step behind."
