Chapter 803 - Chapter 802: Doctor Strange’s Question

Thor's experience as a foster dad wasn't exactly a smooth ride. His adopted daughter was incredibly gifted, and that often meant endless trouble for him.

So, Thor simply followed Asgardian tradition when it came to raising children—he taught her how to fight from a very young age. Just like how he himself had stepped onto the battlefield while still in swaddling clothes.

Of course, some viewers felt that this kind of parenting was way over the top. Sure, the kid had powers, but she was still a child—what's with all the fighting and killing?

Still, others supported the method. After all, education should be tailored to the individual. Regular Earth kids should obviously go through proper modern schooling. But those born exceptional, with powers from a young age? They needed something different.

On the gentler end of the spectrum, there's Charles' School for Gifted Youngsters. Asgard's methods, however, definitely belonged to the more aggressive camp.

Either way, Thor's stint as a foster father sparked some interesting thoughts among viewers. His parents, Odin and Frigga, were seriously considering whether it was time for their son to settle down and have kids of his own.

They say a man matures after starting a family—maybe it would work for the God of Thunder too?

Leaving aside the debate outside, the future video shown on the projection screen finally reached its end.

The final shot zoomed in on Zeus, the King of the Gods. He wasn't dead, but he was clearly wounded and now being tended to by a group of beautiful women. He sighed with emotion:

"You know, being a god used to be fun. People used to call your name with reverence. They'd share their deepest hopes and dreams. They'd beg for mercy...

But now? They look up to the skies and no longer pray for lightning or rain. They just want to see their so-called superheroes! When did we become a joke?

No. They will learn to fear us again… when Thor Odinson falls from the sky. You understand what I'm saying, Hercules—my son."

A burly man, half-kneeling by a column, slowly rose to his feet. Dressed like an ancient Greek warrior, he was clearly built like a tank. In a deep voice, he replied, "I understand, Father."

And with that, the video ended.

"Wow, if I'm not mistaken, Hercules is that Hercules, the legendary strongman?" Deadpool scratched his head. "Thor, buddy, you've got trouble."

"Not your concern!" Thor snapped, clearly annoyed. 'Just wait until that big mouth of yours ends up on screen… then it's my turn to laugh.'

No new question immediately followed on the screen. Instead, a five-minute countdown appeared—an intermission for the players.

Stephen looked around, frowning. "I'm starting to believe what you said."

"Starting to?" Thor crossed his arms, unimpressed. "I have no reason to lie to any of you. Why would I embarrass myself like that? You all saw the future video!"

At that moment, Hughie raised a hand. "Hey guys, I've got a question. We're all from different worlds, right?"

"You three are probably from the same one, aren't you?" Stephen's gaze swept over Hughie, Billy, and Annie.

Based on their previous conversation and subtle interactions, it wasn't hard to tell that even if they weren't close, they at least knew each other.

The trio didn't deny it. Annie spoke up, "But in our world, Thor and Zeus only exist as mythological figures. They're just legends."

Billy snorted. "Yeah? Well, we've got things way nastier than those so-called gods—like Homelander."

Annie frowned. "Homelander is a universally recognized superhero. He's done a lot of good. Why do you always have to slander him?"

Billy just kept sneering, too disgusted to even answer.

Hughie, who clearly had a soft spot for Annie, tried to explain gently. "Vought's superheroes aren't as perfect as they look under the spotlight. That's all a facade. Behind the flashy image, there's a lot of darkness. Honestly, I used to be a fan of the Seven myself. But after seeing what they're really like… I've been waking up from nightmares every night."

Deadpool looked intrigued. "Interesting. So your world's running on a 'screw the heroes' theme, huh?"

Stephen raised a brow. "If the videos really show our future, then we'll know the truth soon enough."

He glanced over at Thor, who was unusually quiet. "So… what kind of person am I in your world?"

"A sorcerer," Thor replied, shrugging. "Arrogant, mouthy, as annoying as Tony. But I'll give you this—you are the best sorcerer on Earth. You earn that Sorcerer Supreme title."

"You're telling me… I become a sorcerer? Like, an actual spell-casting, magic-wielding sorcerer?"

Stephen waved his hands uncertainly, struggling to process it. "But I'm a doctor. A surgeon."

Thor shrugged again. "After you lose your hands, you head to Kamar-Taj and start learning magic. Everyone knows this."

Stephen looked utterly stunned. He raised his hands—long and slender, his pride and his livelihood. With these hands, he'd built his reputation as one of the best surgeons around.

If they were destroyed… his entire career, his dream, would be over.

At that moment, the countdown ended, and the next question popped up on the screen:

[If Stephen Strange never loses the use of his hands in an accident, would he still become the Sorcerer Supreme?]

[A: Yes

B: No]

How coincidental—Thor had just mentioned the accident, and now the question was directly about it.

Everyone turned to look at Stephen, whose confusion only deepened. Thor gave him a teasing grin. "Looks like you're next, Stephen. This one's pretty interesting, don't you think?"

Stephen shook his head. Interesting wasn't the word he'd use—he was staring down a completely uncertain future. But at least from the way this question was phrased, it looked like maybe… his hands might stay intact?

He took a deep breath, calming the surge of emotions. "Thor, please. Tell me more. Why does losing my hands make me a sorcerer?"

Thor didn't hold back. He frowned, thinking. "As I recall, after the accident, you searched the world for a way to heal yourself. That led you to Kamar-Taj, where you began learning magic—hoping that with mystical powers, you could restore your hands."
