It might even lead to self-sabotage due to their ability to adapt to any instruction, letting you play with minor adjustments until you're defeated by a swift attack, making them quite a burden.

But, the premise of the above example is the low-end arena!

In reality, high-level units are simply not meant for amateurs to play with. They have nothing to do with the 'lower limit' of both sides in a simulation. The designers' starting point in developing such units is quite straightforward: to utilize the commanders' 'upper limit.'

Units that three people can use to complete tactical instructions, as compared to those that require dozens or hundreds to achieve simple tactical changes, make no difference to rookies. Yet, in the hands of some people, these high-level units can work wonders.
