A full day passed, but Carin did eventually wake up. Her head was hammering and she was aching all over.
She sat up rubbing the space between her eyes and Berg called out to her.
"Your life force is strong."
Carin flinched and looked up. She found herself backing away from him a little. The distance between them was now clear.
Berg paid no mind to her fear and continued on. Unlike yesterday, he did not have his back turned to her.
"I was watching you while you slept. Your fought back from the brink of death several times with your rejuvenation. Your strength is admirable."
"Rejuvenation?" Carin had no idea what he was talking about. She looked down in contemplation wondering what exactly had happened since the initial attack.
"I can see you don't understand. Rejuvenation is a technique of my people. It is usually something only we can use, but it seems you are a special case."
