Seeing her saying nothing he quickly added
"I'm not asking you to become my girlfriend right now I just want you to give me a chance to woo you"
Lina who was completely speechless from the start tilted her head to the said to look at him before she burst out laughing
"Coming from someone who had a girlfriend last week I'm surprised" she said between her laughter
Dave had never regretted anything in his more than this
"I swear to you that was my first time meeting that girl and we were out on a blind because my mother set me up with her" Dave explained " listen I'm not asking you to believe what I'm saying but just give me a chance to prove myself" he continued holding her hand.
Lina could see the sincerity in his eyes the problem was the only guy she had ever loved or maybe not loved, to put more accurately it was a childhood crush and it was literally one sided. She closed her eyes and took in a deep breath removing her hand from his she crossed it on her chest and said
"See I'm really not interested in building a relationship right now Dave I have a lot on my plate and being in a relationship is the least of my worries"
"I won't add to your worries give a chance to share your burdens with you"
Lina would be lying if she said she wasn't touched but she just meet this guy a few days ago and going out with someone she just meet wasn't sounding right to her.
"Okay let's do this why don't you give me a week or two to this about this" she said after thinking about it
"Okay I'll wait" Dave replied. At least she didn't say no that's the only thing that made him happy he did not care how long he had to as long as she gave him a chance at the end.
"Bye then see you tomorrow" she said waving at him with a smile. Dave returned her smile he really wished he could hold her and kiss but he stop himself from doing that, when he saw that she had already gone through the door he entered his car and asked his driver to go back home.
Lina entered the house closed the door and leaned against it putting her hand on her chest trying to calm her beating heart
"So he made your heart missed a beat huh??" Chris we was waiting so for his sister hands crossed in front of his chest asked.
Lina who had gotten a surprise scare from his brother took her bag and hit him with it
"What the hell are you doing standing here like a ghost??" She shouted with her hand on her chest trying to calm herself from the the surprise attack she had gotten from her brother
"Hey hey calm down I never meant to scare I was just surprised that a man came to drop you off today" Chris replied taking her sister hand and back leading her to the sofa in the living room, he then poured and glass of water and gave her to drink.
After drinking Lina calm down a bit she then turned to her younger brother with a serious expression and asked
"What do you thing about David Chris??" She put the glass on the table and continued "give me you opinion from your perspective as a man"
