Looking at his sister he answered "well if you're asking me I would say he looks successful and like every girl dream guy and like a player"
Laughing at his response Lina said "yeah I agree with on that play boy part" she then continued continued "but we shouldn't judge a book by the cover right??"
"So why are you asking me all this question??" Chris asked still look at his sister
"He asked me to be his girlfriend or more precisely he wants to woo me" Lina said with her jaws resting on both her hands
"Oh really?" Chris asked with a teasing smile
"You know even though I really wanted to punch his the other I think you should give him a chance" he continued
"Chris are you trying to sale me off??" Lina gave her brother a playful side glance
"No" Chris said raising his hands up "I'm just saying try him out and see how it goes" he continued
"Okay I've heard you" she replied "I asked him to give me some time to think about it so" she continued getting up from the chair
Lina had barely taken two steps when Chris dramatically cleared his throat
"Wait" he said
She stopped and narrowed her eyes.
"What now??"
"You know when he came here last time I did a little bit of background check on him"
Lina gave him a questioning look
Chris leaned back into the chair with a suspicious grin. "There's actually one tiny detail I forgot to mention"
Lina folded her arms "When eve you say 'a tiny detail' it's never a tiny detail"
"He is rich."
Lina blinked once. "Chris"
"Like…disgustingly rich."
"Chris."
"He owns three companies."
"CHRIS."
"And a penthouse."
She grabbed the nearest cushion and threw it at him while he burst into laughter
"You're unbelievable." Trying not to laugh
"What?." He said dodging another pillow
"I'm just trying to help you see the benefit."
"The benefits." Lina scoffed. "So now I'm suppose to fall in love with him because he owns a penthouse??"
Chris shrugged innocently. "I'm not saying that just because of the benefits bit since I have never seen you in a relationship since I knew you."
Lina rolled her eyes at her brother and shook her head and laughed despite herself.
"You're unbelievable"
Before Chris could reply her phone suddenly buzzed in her pocket. Taking it out, she saw a message from Dave
I'll respect your decision no matter what by it I'd regret it if I don't at least get a chance to prove myself. Date tomorrow after class??
-Dave
For a moment Lina just stared at the message.
Chris who was already behind her leaned slowly into her reading the message.
He whispered with a mischievous grin. "So are we picking an outfit or pretending to be unavailable??."
Lina quickly locked her phone and turned around
"Chris !" She hissed turning to look at her clutching her phone to her chest. "Has anyone ever told you about personal space?"
Chris quickly looked offended. "Excuse me for caring about your love life."
"My what life?" She scoffed
