Chapter 3 - [Grand Healing]

"Hmm, Dragons, huh?" Nathaniel muttered.

He sat in a carriage with King Marco, heading straight towards the city.

King Marco might have gotten the clue that Nathaniel was not from this world, so he proceeded to tell him about Terra.

Hunari, which is the land of humans, is one of 6 continents that belonged to their respective species.

Hunari in the West while the other continents were up North, East and South.

Krakan in the Northeast, where the Giants stay in the Mounts of Hulagnor and the Dwarves in their underworld, Kjodaín.

Galandria, on the far East where the Elves are going through a civil war.

Banamalia, which is just under Galandria, housed the Beastkins, humanoid beasts basically.

And between Banamalia, is Navarath and Andrilanna Isles, where various species of Orcs and Seafolks roam respectively.

It sounds a lot like some World of Warcraft world to Nathaniel.

The only species that didn't have their own lands are the Dragons, which according to King Marco, they simply find a place to live whether it's occupied land or not.

A dragon is known throughout Terra as the most fearsome creature, just one alone can worry any of the factions, let alone a whole pack or army of them.

Which got Nathaniel wondering, could he be here because he has some part with these dragons? Everything he tried so far seemed to work so why wouldn't his abilities to suck a d— absorb a dragon's soul be doubted?

It's definitely something to worry about, but Nathaniel doesn't feel any pressure or worries inside him, as if he was filled to the brim with confidence and power.

But what should he do now? Build a kingdom? Become king? Find dragons and ride them? Travel and taste everyone's culinary skills and judge them? Roam around the 6 continents while drunk and flirt?

So many possibilities.

But for now he should stabilize his freeloading status.

He turned towards King Marco, who already had a question in the chambers.

"Do you know your evolved rank? Are you an Immortal?" He asked nervously, as Nathaniel doesn't seem all that bad but anyone can easily switch up their personalities depending on the situation. But he had to ask.

"Evolved? Immortal?"

"Yes, for warriors like me or mages that have gained strength in training and taken leaps, we refer to it as an evolution from the natural order.

And as there are extensions to how far one can go, a system or rankings came about.

An Immortal Warrior, which is equivalent to a Majeston Mage, is the strongest and most evolved in Terra."

"Hmm…" Nathaniel squinted his eyes, thinking this ranking system Terra have can be measured with Skyrim's leveling system. Since he is at max level, what does that transition to in Terra's ranking system? "Have you ever met an Immortal?"

"I have not, they are humanity's best defense against the other species, they are the pillars and the reason we can exist till this day. They are not people anyone can usually meet. Even if I were to see one, I would not be able to approach them, their aura is so strong it can not only inflict harm to the environment but to others weaker than them."

"But aren't you a king?"

"A king, yes. But my kingdom is small compared to the rest of Hunari just as I am weak compared to many."

"Oh…are you in this Evolution ranking?" Nathaniel asked, curious about this system.

"That I am."

"…"

Nathaniel nodded, guessing King Marco didn't wanna just say his rank so easily, but then again, he did ask him and wondered if he was immortal.

"What made you think I was immortal?"

"Your…arrival shook not only the mountains but the entirety of the city." King Marco knew that only those that are either Grandmaster Warrior or Immortal Warrior are capable of doing that much damage.

And from the looks of it so far, Nathaniel did not look hurt one bit.

"Oh…do forgive me." Nathaniel dipped his head slightly. "Did anyone get hurt?"

"…no one has been reported dead so far…" King Marco sighed. He was thankful that that was all there is to it, even if someone was dead, as bad as that would be, it would have been worse if Nathaniel went berserk and destroy the entire kingdom.

*Shrrrrriiiiiinngggg*

King Marco's eyes jerked towards Nathaniel and unsheathed his sword, aiming it at the man. "What is the meaning of this?!"

"Relax, King Marco. This is a healing spell, you wouldn't mind if I cast it for those hurt nearby do you?" Nathaniel felt a bit of guilt.

When they went through the Northern gate, he thought the city was a bit rundown and broken, but he just now noticed that it was a bit messed up because of his arrival.

"I have used it before as well, earlier to heal your soldiers after my sudden…awakening."

"Very well." He sheathed his sword and sat down, but made sure to keep an eye on the man.

Nathaniel thought up the same spell earlier, [Grand Healing], which is supposed to heal everyone near the caster. But since the situation is different he wants to test it and put everything he has on this spell cast.

*SSSHHRRRRIIIIIIINNNNGGGG*

He finally cast it, and a wave of visible golden light spread out rapidly from the carriage into the area.

King Marco's eyes widened, he felt the spell before healing him and his men, but seeing it and feeling it up close was a different experience.

He felt like everything impure inside him suddenly disappeared including his worries, doubts, negative feelings and a surge of freedom? Enlightenment?

Nathaniel on the other hand raised the small curtain and looked out from the carriage, the guards accompanying the carriage outside were alerted but paused after feeling the same thing King Marco did.

Nathaniel suddenly beamed, his smile was due to how far the golden healing energy spread. He could See and Sense it still strong and spreading far from this side of the city.

It may be due to the maxed level and perks of the Archery skill tree, but his eyes looked out afar.

He saw citizens far suddenly heal up, the ill, the injured and the weak? They suddenly had strength due to this phenomenon of golden energy spreading around the city.

He squinted his eyes, making sure he was far before he even thought of casting any spells in the [Destruction] school, INCLUDING any Master spells.

He also noticed that he didn't feel any loss from that Expert level spell.

He closed his eyes to thank himself for stupidly Maxing every part of his character before the game crashed.

But he has to soon figure out what to do with all the items he has in his inventory, which is…some were useless.

Like the keys, what would he use those keys for in this world? The ingredients he could use as well as a majority of the other things.

Well he'll figure it out when the time comes.

"What are you?" King Marcos suddenly muttered out in amazement.

Was this man, Nathaniel, a healer as well? A Warrior, a Mage and now a Healer?

One can become a warrior or a mage in this world, one can even become both, a Battemage to be specific but they have a slow evolving rate and at some point most give up on one thing before focusing on the other, but a Healer? Casters of [Holy] powers? You are chosen, it isn't something one can choose.

••••••••••••

As they made their way towards the palace in the small territory, others seemed to sense the powers that were shown tonight.

Every dragon, either slumbering, flying or cooking up their meals seemed to have felt their souls shaken.

A sudden Force seemed to have shaken them all.

While down South of Hunari, a land filled with priests roamed under the large temple up in a mountain covered with colorful plants.

"Bose."

A serene voice called out from the main halls.

"Your holiness." Bose, a man with quite a high rank in the faith himself walked into the halls and bowed.

"Child, go forth to the central lands. A blessed child of God has been born, go forth, go forth and bring the child home." The pope said as he put his hands together looking up at the faith's symbol on the ceiling.

••••••••••••••

"Who's this little jit?"

Nathaniel along with King Marco and the entourage entered the palace, as he was shown around he felt his arms get heavy.

He raised his arms to see a little child hanging off his elbows.

"Papa!"

"Nina!!" King Marco panicked, he rushed to his daughter before snatching her off Nathaniel's arm before apologizing. "Forgive her, Lord Nathaniel. She has not been taught her boundaries."

"It's alright, she's adorable. And just call me Nathaniel, I'm more used to it without the titles."

"Mister, who are you?" The little girl asked curiously.

"I am just a man who is lost at the moment and has nowhere to go." Nathaniel looked towards the young child, Nina, she seemed to be around 7 or 8 years old.

"It's okay, you can stay with us, we have a big giant house with hundreds of rooms!!" She said as she waved around.

Nathaniel chuckled before taking the little princess' offer officially, he caught a glimpse of the little stuffed bear she held on her little arms and thought of something.

With his finger, he waved it around as if drawing something in mid-air before flicking it, and suddenly—

"WHOAAAA!! It's moving!!" Nina was startled at first, but became overjoyed as she chased the clumsy teddy bear running away from her.

King Marco and the others had another scare from the way Nathaniel suddenly moved his fingers, pointing at Nina —or at the teddy bear to be specific— thinking the worst, but the running bear and excited Nina eased their hearts a bit.

King Marco's eyes suddenly twitched, Was that Enchantment?! On a stuffed toy no less…

What is this man unable to do?! And is that the way enchanting is supposed to be done?

"Lord Natha— Sir, can I ask if you are a Majeston?" King Marco asked, at first he thought Immortal Warrior, then a Holy Saint but this time a Majeston Mage which are all ranked 9th in the Evolutionary Ranking.

"Hmm, I'm not sure…" He understood that the Majeston Mage is in the same rank as an Immortal Warrior but he didn't know what rank he was truly in. If enchanting a teddy bear makes one a rank 9th mage then he is much more than such. "Perhaps if I learn a little more than I can let you know." He thought about telling this king about him not being of this world.

"Very well, let's speak in my quarters, that way we can understand each other a bit more." King Marco led the way followed by Nathanield and Richard while the rest of the guards returned to their post in the palace and city.

When they got comfortable in King Marco's study, he began.

"What is your plan from now on, sir Nathaniel?" King Marco asked, behind him stood Richard who had his own thoughts but with no obligations to speak out.

"I have no clue, I don't even know much about this world to have my own goals, I have no home, no family and no friends so…" Would he look for a way to go back to earth? No. He wouldn't. What for, to pay taxes again and have a mountain of bills and debts to pay? No thanks. This world might be dangerous but he possesses powers that seem to give him advantage from what he heard so far. "I don't know…"

"…" King Marco and Richard sighed, not sure what to think about this situation they are in.

"If you're thinking I have ill intentions or crazy ambitions then I'll stop you there, I don't. I usually just enjoy myself with entertainment and a good time without much trouble, that is unless trouble comes my way first so you don't need to worry much about me in that case." Nathaniel eased their worries.

"Thank you for the reassurance." King Marco said, he did some thinking before he finally spoke. "I…won't be much of a help to you, but I can point you to some people who can. Some who might even have connections to Immortals and Majestons that can help you much more than anyone else."

"I would be grateful, King Marco. But for now I just wish to have some time with mysel—"

*Thump*

*Thump*

They heard knocks on the door, before someone entered frantically.

"Your majesty!!"

"Mute? Is everything okay?" King Marco asked one of his advisors.

"Your majesty, it's a miracle!!" Mute said with eyes widened. "The whole city has been healed!! Even those who were ill from diseases, our wounded soldiers in the ward have awakened from their long slumbers with strength in their feet!!"

King Marco and Richard both turned to Nathaniel, on the other hand Nathaniel's mouth widened.

Is [Grand Healing] such a powerful spell?!

"Hahahaha!!" King Marco suddenly laughed out of this before turning to Mute. "Have you checked on…?"

"Yes, your majesty, the first prince walks with strength." Mute said with a tear in his eye.

"Thank you!! Lord Nathaniel!!" King Marco stood up and bowed with his eyes gratefully on Nathaniel.

Unlike Mute who stood there confused, Richard didn't stop their king from bowing, in fact he also bowed as he benefited from Nathaniel's holy spell earlier as well.

The injuries he had gotten from his rise seem to not be as irritating anymore.
