"Alright Mushan, let's get back to topic shall we?" Nathaniel spoke.
"Yes, Immortal."
"How strong would you say you are? Are you an Immortal as well in this system that everyone uses?"
"I am not. Dragons do not use the ranking system that…humans use." Mushan said, trying his best not to insult the human Immortal.
"Hmmmm, are you knowledgeable about it? Can you give me an estimate on where you would rank?"
"If this one were to place himself…I would be beneath the Immortal Rank, but mere Ultimate Ranked Warriors would do nothing to me." Mushan said.
Nathaniel nodded along with the others, Arniel wrote frantically as he giggled about.
Excited about this discovery.
This means that a dragon like Mushan is currently ranked at the peak of the 8th Ultimate Warrior but definitely below the ranked 9th Immortal Warriors.
And the way Hakon slapped down the dragon earlier without much effort proved that he and the others are in the Immortal rank or even beyond that.
This discovery gave Nathaniel a chance to relax, not worrying about any other beings in this world if Immortals are the best of the warriors in Terra.
Of course, there was still the 10th Ranked Warrior, which belongs to the strongest of all, titled as the Paragon Warrior in the Transcendent Stage.
But Nathaniel had a feeling they weren't as strong as they were led to believe.
There was only one thing he was worried about.
"If you were there in the Ancient Wars, do you think you would stand a chance against those Demon Monarchs?" Nathaniel asked.
"I wouldn't dare think of it, our Ancestors had the purest of blood from the Primordial Dragon Being himself yet they did very little against the Demon Monarchs." Mushan stated as his head hung low.
"I see." Nathaniel acknowledged. "What of your Tribes? Where do you rank yourself against the strongest and weakest?"
Mushan grumbled inwardly, wondering why this immortal human kept asking him questions as if he wasn't from this world.
"I am but a champion to my kin, nothing of worth."
"Oh a champion, you must be quite strong." Nathaniel nodded.
"…I am not." The pride Mushan usually kept seemed to dwindle. "I am only stronger than my Dragonlings…above me are the Guardians, the Kings, the Grand Dragons, Elder Dragons, Supreme Dragons and the honorable Ancient Dragons…"
Nathaniel paused, the more Mushan kept going the more his thoughts had to be rethought out.
"…I see."
It seemed they indeed have their own rankings.
Dragonling
Dragon Champions
Dragons Guardians
Dragon Kings
Grand Dragons
Elder Dragons
Supreme Dragons
Ancient Dragons
"Ahhhh, well…you're a Dragon Champion, take it with pride!" Nathaniel encouraged him.
"Hmph, you are correct Immortal, I am a champion of…"
As Mushan went on, Nathaniel was surprised at how quick he changed his mood.
"Mushan."
"Do you know what a Dragonborne is?"
"Dragon…born?" Mushan thought it through but no bells rang. "I do not know of this term, does this refer to someone born in the way of a dragon?"
"Hmmm, you can say that. What about your tongue? Do your kin have a language of their own?"
"What of my tongue?" Mushan asked as his tongue rolled out curiously.
"…"
"…"
"…"
"What about a language?"
"Yes, Immortal. We speak in our own language."
"Very well then, may we hear it? Speak something in your language."
Rooaaarrrrr
Mushan roared, growled while flames spurred out of his mouth and nostrils.
The others just sat there looking at him, surprised at the sudden…actions.
"My lord…I think…I think these dragons speak more through intent rather than an actual verbal language. It might not make sense to us but to them it makes perfect sense."
Nathaniel and the others looked at Arniel, his statement made sense.
Quite funnily, they thought Mushan was making a failed attempt at trying to intimidate them, but this is way more unexpected than they thought.
"Thank you, Mushan. That was a great demonstration." Nathaniel said helplessly.
"Ahhh I have a question." King Marco asked as he turned towards Nathaniel and the others.
"Please speak."
"I seem to recall, Hakon mentioned something about a world eater, in your world?"
"Ahhhh, yes. Alduin, the world-eater himself." Felldir chuckled reminiscing.
"Alduin!" Hakon shouted out with a chuckle. "Mighty bastard he was, we've many troubles with that one."
"Why do you call him the world-eater?" King Marco's imagination wandered.
"Because he is what he is." Felldir said mysteriously. "He was a devourer of worlds, the first dragon, firstborn of Akatosh, dragon king and a darkness to Nirn."
"Dragon…king?" Mushan questioned, wondering if this Alduin is similar to their Dragon Kings.
Hakon chimed in. "The appearance of the World-Eater signals the end of time before the next. Alduin devours the world periodically before a new one arises."
"It was Alduin's duty to devour, a divine task given by the Dragon God of Time, Akatosh, one of the 9 Divines."
"But Alduin grew proud, arrogant and ignorant of his divine duties. Instead of devouring the world he instead seeked to rule it. We fought back."
"Yet it was not enough." Hakon sighed.
"Hakon, Gormlaith and I, we fought against Alduin even with the power to cast their wings useless, yet we did not succeed." Felldir filled in.
"Gormlaith fell before Hakon and I lost our advantage quickly, with no choice we banished Alduin from that time."
"That time? Time magic?" King Marco questioned.
"Yes, it can be referred to as such." Felldir nodded.
"The next time Alduin showed himself to us again was in Sovngarde."
"The afterlife?!" King Marco remembered the talks of it.
"Yes, with Lord Nathaniel we vanquished the World-Eater."
King Marco nodded intensely, listening closely to the story.
"Nathaniel, were you also in Sovngarde?" King Marco asked in surprise.
Nathaniel nodded, but his thoughts churned.
Defeating Alduin was…not exactly difficult. At least in the game. The only time someone would have trouble with Alduin is the first few times they play the game, after that they know enough character-build and cheats to either one-shot Alduin or make it feel theatric.
But in Nathaniel's memories—the current body's memories he is possessing which used to be his game character— remembered hours of a grueling battle against Alduin.
The memories showed the true terror and horrifying power that Alduin had even against four Dragonborns.
"Yes, but not as a resident of Sovngarde. I was chasing down Alduin and I just happened to appear in Sovngarde, fighting alongside my comrades."
"What adventures!" King Marco said admirably. "The stories you have all been through could open eyes in Terra. No one could ever imagine such a world with mighty warriors like yourselves."
Hakon sat up straight as he laughed, ready to speak more of his tales…but…
Brrrrrrrrrrr
The ground vibrated, the mountain shook a little but the city? It quaked quite a bit.
"It seems they have arrived." Mushan said as he looked out into the skies.
Roars and screeches were heard through the skies, the people of Krieg city panicking as four dragons headed towards the city.
Nathaniel and the others looked out Eastward towards the city's main gates. The city stretched as far as more than 80 kilometers, but even then, beings like Nathaniel and the others could see clearly.
"I must go." King Marco stood up worriedly, he couldn't see clearly so the best he can do is be present especially as the king.
Even though Nathaniel and the others faith in Gormlaith taking on however many dragons there are, King Marco still had his doubts.
"Seven." Nathaniel muttered, worrying King Marco even more.
"Nathaniel…" King Marco didn't know how to say it.
"Worry not, Marco. If it is needed we will step in, we won't let our home be trampled by these invaders." Nathaniel reassured King Marco's relief.
"You have my gratitude." King Marco took off.
Nathaniel turned back to Mushan. "So, Mushan. Have you confirmed the reason of your visit?"
Mushan stared into Nathaniel with his head lowered, then turned towards Felldir and Hakon.
"Yes."
"And what is your conclusion?"
"That you are a bane to my kin, possess powers like that of my kind which even I am unsure how it does."
"My very soul and powers feel as if it can be devoured by you, you wield the power of my kinsmen's breath, as powerful as the Supreme Dragons breath…I cannot defy such powers." Mushan's head lowered.
"I see." Nathaniel nodded. "Thank you for your cooperation, Mushan. I hope you stay with us a little longer to appease our curiosities."
Arniel took over, asking Mushan more questions as Nathaniel faced the Southside of the city.
He raised his left hand as bright golden light gathered into the form of a bow, and a familiar bow appeared.
Shiiiiing
THRRRUUUMMMMMmmm
The ground and air shook from such a powerful weapon appearing in Terra.
Some would recognize it as [Auriel's Bow], and the arrow which formed in Natheniel's right hand from light was recognized to be a regular [Elven Arrow].
He could have used the [Sunhallowed Arrows] but he didn't know how wide the destruction of that arrow will be considering everything he is and has right now is notched up to be 5x powerful than it is in Skyrim.
Mushan's blood and soul trembled just from being near the bow, the power that bow held felt so destructive.
He notched the arrow and shot.
PPPPPPEEEWWWSSHHHHHHHTT
The arrow shot off so fast and carried so much power that a sonic boom followed, the air felt as if it was being stabbed as the air was being pushed out of the arrow's way breaking the sound barrier.
As shockwaves spread, the arrow shot out from the Sky Mountain above the city and straight into one of the dragons.
Krathooosshhh
The arrow alone obliterated a dragon's head and traveled past to two more dragons obliterating parts of their bodies.
"Triple kill." Nathaniel smirked.
Mushan behind him trembled, he could also see far enough from the mountain and what he saw, what he felt…
He couldn't help but feel lucky, he knew these beings were powerful…but is this something that Immortals are even capable of?!
He has seen Human Immortals, but these guys seem to have much more…weight? Than the ones he has seen in the last few centuries.
There were two more dragons left just near the gates of Krieg City.
Three of them killed by Nathaniel's arrow and two already taken out by Gormlaith.
The last two were screeching and whimpering, Mushan can see that they were trying to take flight and escape, but the blue energy that surrounded them prohibited them from even moving too far from Gormlaith.
He felt it before, when Hakon shouted at him with it.
This blue energy that engulfed him not only seemed to press down on him enough to prevent him from flying but it also caused chaos inside his body and soul. As if a foreign power was causing havoc in his body, preventing him from using his real strength and their inner energy.
"It's coming!" Felldir shouted, almost too excitedly.
Mushan turned towards the battle to see nothing, instead he saw three colorful energies floating quickly above the city heading straight to Nathaniel.
When it finally arrived, it engulfed and surrounded Nathaniel for a few seconds before disappearing.
Nathaniel paused, wondering if he was going to hear a certain soundtrack after absorbing three dragon souls, but nothing came.
"Y-you..absorbed their souls?!" Mushan cried out. Anger, disbelief and confusion heard in his tone.
"Alright Mushan, let's get back to topic shall we?" Nathaniel spoke.
"Yes, Immortal."
"How strong would you say you are? Are you an Immortal as well in this system that everyone uses?"
