Chapter 159 – Naruto's plan
.
In the ninja academy of Iwa, Fuyuko Yamanaka was just freed from the Jujutsu of Yasona Otsutsuki by Amabie, the mermaid prophet, former tengu of Tokiwa Minamoto, given to him by Takeshi. Confused, Fuyuko stands up and oddly stares at his past worst enemy, whom he finds deeply broken. But he prefers not to acknowledge it for now.
"So are you supposed to find help to fight that 7 feet tall goddess?" he asks. "I doubt anyone around will be much useful. Why not you? You're probably the strongest dude around."
"This… is not my battle. I can't fight it. I can't win it, and I'm not made for it." the ninja in black blankly answers.
"… Sounds like someone's finally realized he wasn't the main character." Fuyuko jokes, to which only a silence is given as reply, which actually makes him feel awkward for once. He walks away to a window and looks outside, before adding another remark. "You look like shit, man. What happened? You act like someone killed your twin sis."
Takeshi obviously understands this remark. He looks at Fuyuko and thinks of his terrible words again. He'd rather not tell him, but since their last meeting, he was actually made to believe he was the main character, by his mother and Kotobuki. Only to be taught the lesson Fuyuko wanted him to receive. Hyakki gave him the beating, the humiliation, the pain he needed to stop enjoying life. And he still didn't get over his loss and his fault.
"I don't expect you to forgive me for Akiko's death." Takeshi suddenly says. "I don't need you to trust me or to work with me either. But Kiri, as part of the Union, has to fight off the invader and free this village. I don't trust you either, but I know you're useful, which is why I gave you a tengu."
Fuyuko stays silent for a moment. He looks at the mermaid in his mind, still waiting for a chance to chat. He looks at Takeshi's dead beat face, and acknowledges his shy call for help. He looks by the window again, far in the distance, where he sees beneath the buildings.
"I get what you expect me to do, but I'm certainly not gonna change the balance in that battle." he says. "If you're not confident or strong enough for it either, then there may be only one person nearby who can really fight the enemy for you."
Takeshi gets intrigued and joins Fuyuko to look by the window, as he understands what he is looking toward, in the direction where lies a certain volcano and prison. This is an idea that would certainly not be approved by the Kage, but makes too much sense to be omitted.
Though, even if this can lead them to hold on long enough here, it will be pointless if the Hokage doesn't win his own fight. Takeshi feels suddenly thoughtful and realistic. He looks at the rising moon in the sky, on which, according to the Kazekage, the most important battle is currently taking place.
.
There, on the surface of Hamura's rightful territory, the Dragon Sage is fighting Naruto, Boruto and Toneri. They wasted no time to get the best out of the Achilles heel of Yamitsuki, and use their Gudodama in every single attempted attack. Yet they still didn't land any notable hits, and Naruto already wasted half of his orbs.
For Boruto, quantity is not a problem. Though his Gudodama aren't nearly as divine as his father's and are like made of dirt to the hands of the enemy, his Tenseigan lets him regenerate them without limits. To bypass the weakness of his orbs, Boruto uses them mostly as tougher objects, such as the Kinrin Tenseino Ken, his strongest offensive move embedded in his sword.
But the Dragon Sage is still dodging every swing, as he already pushed back the two others for now and is only facing the young ninja at the moment.
"You are a remarkable swordsman and hand fighter for your age." he comments while moving. "However, you are limited by your nature. Your Tenseigan is not even close to its full potential. Your eyes are nowhere near even half of the might of Hamura."
Just as he says this he properly catches Boruto's blade between his fingers and forces it to be dispelled, scattering the Gudodama, before hitting the ninja with a kick to the abdomen that sends him flying away, to be caught by his master Toneri.
Leaving him no time for a break, Naruto hurries to get back in action and takes on the Dragon Sage again. Yamitsuki is startled for a moment but manages to catch up and oppose the Hokage with greater strength.
"I shall acknowledge at least the remarkable progress you and your son made in preparation for this battle, Naruto." Yamitsuki speaks while colliding with the jinchuriki who holds on in this Taijutsu and Senjutsu-based sparring. "You do not seem as shy as last time."
"Oh, you ain't seen nothing yet!" Naruto confidently answers. "I've trained to make your ghost-phasing thing irrelevant. And I'm also gonna beat your copy-all eyes. I'll attack you with stuff you've never seen, and you won't even get to copy it."
"It is quite easy to understand what your strategy will be from these words… Why are you telling me? You are losing an advantage."
"Oh, but I don't want an advantage. You already gave away your weaknesses. I'm telling you so we're set as equals."
"As equals, huh?" Yamitsuki laughs, before rapidly skipping the need for a conversation with a skill he copied on Earth.
Futsunushi
Using Oshio's Mangekyo Sharingan ability, copied from Izuna, he immediately gains knowledge of all the great new skills that Naruto developed in the little time he was given. This abrupt vision amazes him, and makes him extremely curious. He partly doesn't even believe what he's learned, as it seems like among the abilities the Hokage made for himself, there is something totally innovative that, to his knowledge, not even any celestial managed before.
Deep in his wonders, he almost lets Naruto land a strike but dodges right as the Hokage's claws brush his face. Yet he maintains his careless image and shows none of these thoughts to his opponent.
"I have just used the ability of your student to become aware of all your discoveries." he says. "However, you are not even close to knowing all the abilities I possess. We cannot be set in equal conditions. But for the safety of your son and yourself, you better hope to keep an advantage in hiding your strategy. We are not equals. It is undeniable that none of you can match me."
"Oh, don't be so sure!" Naruto exclaims. "I know what I'm doing!"
Right as he says that, he lets one of his Gudodama shine bright and detonate next to the Dragon Sage, who notices it soon enough and, just in the split instant before it explodes, kicks it far away and out of range. This leaves an opening for the Hokage, but of course Yamitsuki doesn't let it be used. Just as Naruto is about to land his loaded fist, coated in a black gauntlet, in his abdomen, the celestial stops it with the rib cage of his silver Susanoo.
With this fragment also appears a skeleton arm that slaps Naruto away to make some distance.
"Really?" he asks. "Your actions seem to reflect no purpose."
"I guess your eyes aren't really that good at reading my intentions then." Naruto replies with a smile. "My plan's pretty clear. We'll go all out and push you to your limit. I'll tire you up no matter how tired I get."
"Hm…" Yamitsuki lightly grins. "You three combined have less than a quarter of my resources. How do you intend to make me run out of chakra before you?"
Before he can get an answer, Toneri interrupts the conversation and leaps into action, only to phase through the immobile Dragon Sage. But he's immediately followed by Boruto who transforms a Gudodama into a lightning blade.
Chidori
Coming right after Toneri, he attempts to stun the celestial ruler with this jutsu, but not fast enough to prevent a reaction. Yamitsuki uses one of his countless elements to resist the lightning.
Yoton – Gomutai
He changes his skin and clothes into rubber just long enough for the Chidori to strike and dissipate without having any effect. Before he counters, Naruto jumps into action to help his son with a new weapon that fits his style better.
Kongosen Shakujo
He combines his 4 Gudodama into a staff with huge spherical weights on both ends. These spheres are coated in the same yellow flaming energy as his mantle. Yamitsuki, knowing of this weapon thanks to his previous use of Futsunushi, crosses his arms to block and tank Naruto who balances one end of the staff into him.
However, the Dragon Sage's jutsu couldn't let him predict how violent this weapon would be. When the flaming sphere collides with his arms, He gets startled as he feels his feet slide on the ground, and then senses his bones bending, and snapping. In a hurry, he leaps away and looks at his torn left forearm.
Even though this injury will be healed in less than a minute, Yamitsuki feels an intense thrill as he realizes that his opponent actually managed to break his bone. He didn't receive such an injury in over 1200 years. Once again, he hides his enthusiasm and focuses on the fight as he sees the blade of Boruto land at his feet.
Hiraishin
Using the jutsu of his ancestor, Boruto transports himself on the sword and pulls it up before attacking the enemy again. Now that the standard has been set by Naruto's shakujo in his mind, Yamitsuki finds no thrill in playing with such a simple weapon. So, by firmly catching it and clawing it down, he completely shatters the blade.
The ninja, staring agape at the Hyuga treasure gifted to him by his grandfather breaking into pieces, is now unarmed in front of the enemy who reaches out with his claws to tear his heart out. Fortunately, Boruto is saved by Toneri who pulls him out of range with chakra strings, leaving space for Naruto who jumps back and strikes again with the Kongosen staff.
Ameno Ohabari
Now aware of this weapon's danger, Yamitsuki pulls out his black mythical double-edged sword and confronts the Hokage with it. The collision of these relics pushes through the air and space, leaving a massive cross mark in the ground that digs all the way through the moon's crust. Toneri, amazed, looks at Boruto who's just as mesmerized as him, and wonders.
The Dragon Sage is right about one thing. His student should be stronger than that. He is still lacking the raw inherited energy of his ancestors to perfect his Tenseigan. However, this is what he, last descendant of Hamura's clan, is here to bring. He will guide and protect Boruto through this fight, as he has sworn.
"Boruto! Don't rest!" he exclaims, which the rogue ninja immediately takes as command. He unleashes his Gudodama, teleports on a formula in his father's back and assists him.
While he goes all out with his son on an opponent who skillfully fights back, the yellow fox shares his deductions on the powers and weapons of the Ryu Shinsen.
"That sword isn't a Gudodama, but it works pretty much the same, right?" he asks, to Yamitsuki's surprise, before explaining. "I couldn't figure out why it looked like it's made from the same material until Kurama explained to me your phasing power. The thing is, that black aspect isn't exactly just a certain solid material. No, it's actually a whole different state of matter. A state of matter that exists in all layers of reality."
Boruto listens to his father who, judging on the intellectual impression that this speech leaves, must be repeating the words of Kurama.
"Madara's Limbo clones existed in a layer of space where regular light and chakra couldn't reach, so they were invisible and undetectable. However, Rikudo chakra could reach that layer. Your Moshirikara is similar, but is in yet another plane. Natural light can still slightly reach there and your chakra still spreads to the rest of the world, so you're not invisible, but no chakra, not even Rikudo Senjutsu can get to you. The only things that can are the Gudodama and your sword, because they're made of something that can reach anywhere!"
After he finishes this explanation, he shifts his shakujo into two, just as it was about to collide with the Ohabari again. With the first, he misses a hit on the Dragon Sage's shoulder. With the second, he surprises his opponent by striking directly his blade as the sphere weight starts to spin and glow intensely.
Rasengan
At collision, it turns into a yellow spinning orb that repels the Ohabari and makes the Dragon Sage lose his grip on the handle, letting the sword brush his face and collide with his gold-tainted horns, leaving a cut mark and slicing off his right ear. They are both repelled by this collision, making a distance between them. But Boruto is still above the enemy and attempts to strike with a thunderstorm emitted from his Gudodama, spinning in a silver circle.
Yamitsuki evades this jutsu by completely absorbing the storm, and finds himself surrounded by Boruto's black orbs scattered around him. Aside, he sees Naruto split his weapons into the original shape of his 4 remaining Gudodama and sends one that he transforms into a blade toward Boruto. His son catches it and puts it to use with his scattered orbs.
Hiraishingiri
Using all Gudodama as marks, he frantically and randomly teleports from one to the other and tries to strike the Dragon Sage with his sword each time, to take him from all possible directions. Since this isn't enough to break though the reflexes of Yamitsuki who still blocks every strike with his Ohabari, Naruto joins his son and attacks by using his orbs in all directions. This offensive breaks through the nonchalance of the celestial as he still dodges everything, and makes him show some respect.
"Very clever. Very willful. You really seem to have tightened the gap between us, Naruto." he compliments, still talking only to the Hokage, now using both healed arms.
"Don't mock me! You've tightened that gap too. Otherwise, you'd go all out." he answers, which hits the Otsutsuki's nerves. "Why aren't you using the Ryujin Kata?"
Unhappy about that question, yet still very enthusiastic about his opponent, he stops speaking and keeps blocking the strikes with his blade. Focused on Naruto, he gets annoyed by Boruto's continuous flashes, and decides to end it. While moving around, he firmly grabs one of Boruto's Gudodama and crushes it to dust in his fist. While moving, he does so with all of them to reduce the range of Boruto's Hiraishin, until having crushed 7.
Taking advantage of an instant of respite that he gets from the Hokage's offensive, he blocks Boruto's sword and pushes him further. Then, in a rapid movement, he destroys the 8th one, but can't seem to find the last 9th. Of course he noticed that Naruto has 4 balls floating around him instead of 3, so Boruto's last must have mixed among them.
However, he has to find the right one and can't afford to try to break them all one by one, as Naruto's Gudodama are much tougher and can't be shattered so simply. Attempting to do so would give the Hokage an opening for a fatal strike. So before he can make his decision, he lets Naruto position the 4 balls around him and suddenly change 2 of them into walls that close together, leaving only two orbs: one on his left, and one above him.
Down to 2, Yamitsuki prepares to simply strike them both at once, but is stopped before doing so when the one above his head transforms into Naruto's next strike.
Bijudama Rasengan
It turns into a spinning Biju bomb that is caught by a yellow chakra limb and pushed down on the Dragon Sage who rapidly counters with a mirroring skill.
Ryudama Rasengan
With a purple chakra arm emerging from his robe, he holds the Bijudama back and responds with an equivalent, made out of his mystical dragon energy. This keeps him busy enough to let the last Gudodama be put to use by Boruto who teleports on it and immediately turns it into his own attack.
Kinbo Tensei Baku
It transforms into a chakra mass that the young rogue pushes into the Dragon Sage's abdomen, pushing through his energy and forcing a tremendous amount of chakra out of him at once. Bothered by this landed strike, Yamitsuki embeds his Ohabari's blade with dense lava and blue flames before swinging it around to reach Boruto. This dash slices the Gudodama barriers around him in half, but the Hokage's son gets away in time by teleporting again, to a mark left on Toneri.
Distracted and weakened by his lost chakra, Yamitsuki lets Naruto take over in the bomb clash and force him to bend his arm down before the two massive Rasengan are forced to explode. Buried under the blast, the Dragon Sage gets away with his space-time jutsu.
Kandakoro
He's absorbed by a wormhole that releases him out of range, and sees Naruto being blown away and caught by Toneri in the distance. What Boruto did frustrates Yamitsuki. Even though it only took away the equivalent of the Kyubi in chakra, which is not even a tenth of his own resources, it was foolish to let the Hokage create such an opening for his son. As he thinks of it, he decides that it is time for him to stop simply sparring and blocking his opponents. He now has to attack.
Mokuton – Makara Sen Mokuryu (1000 Wooden Dragons of Makara)
Hundreds of wooden monsters emerge from all over the face of the moon and lift up the collapsed ground as they fly toward the sky, troubling the ninjas and allowing an easy build up for his next move.
Chibaku Tensei
The dragons and shattered land all come together in a massive planetoid as Boruto, Toneri and Naruto are dodging and running away from the wooden creatures and trying to stay steady on the shaking surface. When it gets near completion, they see the dragon form of Yamitsuki's Susanoo, which only Naruto saw before, take shape and roll itself around the meteor to contain it.
At the tail of the ethereal dragon appears a sword handle to which it is the blade, and a hand holding it, and an armored arm. The Dragon Sage, with this spectral arm, pulls down the dragon and the meteor with it, to project it toward the moon and the enemies. Boruto holds up his arm and prepares to unleash the Kinrin Tensei blade again, but holds back his effort when he sees his father take action by unleashing the upper body of Kurama's avatar.
Bijudama
The fox builds up a massive chakra bomb as the dragon blade lets go of the meteor to let it fly, and releases it as a destructive beam that obliterates the planetoid and cleans the sky. Once the chaos settles, Naruto sees the face and upper body of Yamitsuki's silver armor taking shape, to extend its arm. As a response he unleashes the rest of his Biju Modo, to which the Dragon Sage answers.
Kanzentai Susanoo
He now immediately completes his full Susanoo, holding the dragon blade in one hand and the original sized Ameno Ohabari in the other, and unwrapping its angel wings in the sky. Boruto and Toneri, seeing the colossal silver guardian that makes even Sasuke's version look incomplete, stare at it with amazement and anguish. But Toneri, also amazed by Naruto's avatar, doesn't let inferiority take over his feelings.
Doton – Dai Amatsu Golem (Great Celestial Golem)
Using Ninjutsu only, he builds a sketchy massive statue of his ancestor Hamura, and looks at his student.
"You know what to do. I'll help you." he says before laying a hand on Boruto's shoulder and transmitting his chakra to Boruto, who focuses on using the full power of his Dojutsu.
Kugutsu Tensei
With the Tenseigan, he gives life and will to the statue and makes it emerge from the ground as a giant golem, on par with Kurama next to him. Yamitsuki, unwilling to be bothered by who he considers burdens, mimics their jutsu to build a copy, more refined and perfect in details, and also animates it.
The two statues confront each other, which keeps Toneri and Boruto busy and leaves the Dragon Sage to face Naruto alone. In this silence, Kurama questions his host.
"What's going through his mind, you think?" the fox asks.
"I don't know…" Naruto answers, a bit anxious now that he's left alone with the enemy, before addressing the celestial. "What are you waiting for?"
"Why do I sense confusion in you?" Yamitsuki answers. "You do not need the help of your allies, right? Have you not sworn by your nindo that you would do this by yourself?"
Naruto contains his gasp and thinks it through? Did he really say it like that, or is the Dragon Sage just playing with him? Either way, he can't afford to show weakness so soon. He didn't go all out yet.
"Sure, whatever you say!" the Hokage exclaims as he makes a giant black spear appear in the hand of Kurama before throwing it toward the silver Susanoo.
Yamitsuki, seeing the projectile come, analyzes it thoughtfully. He destroyed 3 Gudodama earlier, so Naruto should have only one left, if he retrieved the one given to Boruto as a sword. Thanks to Futsunushi, he knows that he can create more, but this spear seems so large that it could be efficient only if a set of 10 was combined. Could he really make a whole new set in such a short time, and without him noticing?
Taken off his wonders by the weapon getting dangerously close, he lets his Susanoo fly down to dodge the spear and raises its fist to catch it. But just as he was about to get a hold on it, it turns into a spiraling sphere of strong wind, in which 4 massive orbs are moving in harmony. Through the mist storm, Yamitsuki sees the golden fox, who leapt to higher ground, bring down its 9 tails to push the sphere down.
Mihashira Rasengan
Kurama pushes down this massive elaborated jutsu to crush the silver Susanoo, blocking it with his dragon blade and Ohabari together. Feeling that his strength is inferior, Naruto brings back up in the shape of 3 clones of his Biju Mode to help him. But Yamitsuki immediately replicates it by also making 3 clones of his Susanoo who, despite not each carrying the Ohabari, all have a mystical dragon sword.
These clones confront, holding back the Hokage's success, and one of the foxes even gets rapidly taken down when a Susanoo sharpens his blade with lightning and wind to impale him.
"Of course he can copy your Kage Bunshin." Kurama says. "Don't be careless."
"Yeah well! Let's see him copy this!" Naruto exclaims as he makes a 4th clone that appears directly next to the original Yamitsuki in his armor and tries to stab him in the eye with a kunai.
The Dragon Sage, startled, hurries to move and block the clone before making him disappear with a prompt juken in the heart. Yet when the clone disappears, the kunai remains and flies on its own to its target. Yamitsuki catches it right before it reaches his eye lid and holds it back.
Of course, it is a transformed Gudodama, which reveals the upgraded control that Naruto has on these orbs, since he can seemingly control their summoning like clones. But most importantly, Naruto was aiming to destroy his eye, and likely take advantage of the weakness of Okuninushi.
If he loses at least one eye, he won't be able to copy jutsu anymore. That the Hokage tries to do that means he doesn't plan to use the new abilities that Yamitsuki never saw unless he's sure they won't be mimicked. Very clever, but now that he knows, the Dragon Sage will make sure to keep his face out of reach.
Kandakoro
With his space-time jutsu, he transports the kunai to another dimension, far out of reach. But the distraction caused by this attempt was enough to disturb the attention of the Ryu Shinsen and his 3 clones who let the Hokage's 2 clones slip away and join the original to merge their avatars.
Rikudo – Asura Mode
The 3 Kurama combine into their Asura form, which multiplies the size, strength and durability of the avatar, and the density of its 9 tails. As a result, it manages to push the Mihashira Rasengan down with enough strength to break the defense of the dragon sword and Ohabari. Right as the storm makes its way through, the giant orbs break out and each head toward a different Susanoo.
The clones all try to block the black balls with their dragon blades but the propelled Gudodama all get past and detonate when they reach the main body. The only one successfully deviating the Gudodama is the original, using Ameno Ohabari to deflect it. The cataclysm caused by the explosion of the others is still violent enough to fill the atmosphere of the moon with air and lightning, making it look like Earth for a while.
The blast also peels off parts of Yamitsuki's Susanoo as he flies away to get out of range for the deflected black ball that is still trying to catch him. When he gets back to the ground, he sees the giant orb dismantle into 3 regular Gudodama that fly back to the Hokage and his 2 clones in the Asura avatar, which also comes to the ground.
Even though he didn't cause any injury with this offensive, the Dragon Sage can still feel the great confidence that Naruto got out of this. So, to shut him down, he instantly gets rid of his only efficient weapon.
Kandakoro
Using his jutsu again, he warps away all of the Hokage's Gudodama with small and rapid worm holes, completely disarming him. But Naruto shows no worries, as it is just for him the occasion to show his progress properly to the Ryu Shinsen.
"I was waiting for the right time to show you this trick." he says, as he holds out his hand and, all of a sudden unleashes 10 perfectly new Gudodama from his palm. The orbs spin around him and get in circle formation behind him.
Yamitsuki is dazzled to see this. Just to test himself, he copies the Hokage's moves and manages as well to create 10 Gudodama in such a masterful way. But that he, the Great Ryu Shinsen, god of knowledge and nature, can perform such a wonder makes it in no way less unbelievable that the Hokage could go from ignorance to boundless control over this divine ability only in a few weeks of training.
However, as he did so, Yamitsuki can't fail to notice the tremendous chakra consumed by the creation of 10 all-powerful artifacts at once. Even for him, the loss is far from negligible. So for a far less enduring human-being, the cost must seem fatal. Using his sensory powers and the Byakugan, he verifies the state of his opponent, to see his doubt confirmed.
"It would be bad faith not to acknowledge your remarkable feat, but I cannot fail to point out how consuming it is to you. This is the second time you regenerate your Gudodama in a row. This and the all out offensive you've led until now have totally drained you. You barely have any chakra left, and you certainly will not be able to remake them a third time."
To this criticism, Naruto doesn't answer with words. He just looks up in the sky, to Earth, and precisely to where mount Myoboku is. There, he dispels a few among hundreds of clones, whose energy is immediately transferred at light speed through space, to his original body. Yamitsuki therefore sees the Hokage refueled, ready to start this fight from the beginning again.
"You're not gonna copy that, cuz you can't. You didn't plan any clones to save chakra for you." Naruto argues with the Dragon Sage. "Just now, making these 10 Gudodama was consuming for you too. And you still got a part of your chakra stolen earlier by Boruto."
"Tsk! All this was nothing compared to the total extent of my reserve. You will not witness its end. My body is constantly gathering energy from the cosmos like any Shinsen. And I can drain chakra from nature and beings just as well as Sasuke Uchiha or Tokubei."
"Sure, but you can't absorb mine." the jinchuriki boldly says. "And you're still not using your Ryujin Kata, so should I assume you can't, for some reason? If that's right, then I'm even superior to you in nature now. If you were still able to use that divine power, you'd be winning."
"I would be winning, you say? Be careful with your words, Naruto. I am not losing either."
As he says this, Yamitsuki realizes how pitiful and competitive he sounds. As he thinks of his own attitude, he analyzes the face of his adversary. The will and confidence in Naruto's eyes that perfectly reflect his clever and well prepared approach to this ultimate battle… There, Yamitsuki comes to think that all the time and opportunities he left to this man were not in vain. He may have finally found the one whose coming was foretold, and may have really reached the realization of the Dragon Emperor's prophecy.
Suddenly, interrupting his wonders, Naruto and Yamitsuki both are startled by a massive explosion further away on this planet. In the distance, they see a half dozen large glowing explosions blinding them. After a few seconds, when it settles, a Hamura golem emerges, crawls away from the site and leaps through the moon's atmosphere to join the side of Naruto's Asura Kurama.
On top of it are Boruto and Toneri, who managed to get rid of Yamitsuki's statue with a crowd of truth-seeking bomb blasts. Now that the intimacy of his confrontation with Naruto has been broken again, the Dragon Sage forgets his prophesied thoughts and gets back into pitiless action.
Takami Musubi
From the mouth of his dragon blade, he releases the lightning storm that he absorbed earlier from Boruto into the short-lived atmosphere resulting from Naruto's previous strike. By doing so, he tames the planet to his will and unleashes his wrath as a roaring thunder that devours the sky and makes the moon change color to the eyes of those on Earth.
Naruto, Toneri and Boruto look around themselves at the black and deep purple lighting flashes through the heavy rain storm, and then at each other before staring at the enemy again, ready to go on and defend the seemingly fair ground they've set so far.
