"You're serious?" Xia Boqin asked.
"Yes," Longwei said, sighing. "This world is a little too grim for my liking. Don't you think it could do with a place where you can just live and enjoy what you do, whether it's cooking, brewing wines and teas, eating, growing spices and who knows what, singing, enjoying music, painting, relaxing under a tree with friends sharing meals and laughs, without the burdens of how the world is supposed to be, and what the world demands you become, weighing down on you.
"How wonderful would it be to have a place where the dreams we have don't just exist in our minds, but where you can actually see them.
"I want to create that.
"I want to create a place where people love all things food. Where I can eat what I want, when I want, surrounded by those who actually, genuinely enjoy food, enjoy making it. A place where dreams can actually be made into a dish, and get served and eaten."
