Never was it nates intention to join the fight, it was all because of the system quest did he interval, however, he could have just ignored the quest and maybe he might not have gotten the juicy reward he got from the system.
As much as he did not want to interval but sometimes, the system gives the quest for a reason and Nate has taken this one all because of the quest reward and not for the beast crystal, therefore, he left the crystal still inside the centipede's body and left.
Lyon quickly rushed over to the body and in no time he soon locate the crystal and grabbed it. "It was not me that killed you but I will still take this," he said and crushed the beast crystal the crystal aura covered his body as the form was now in his body.
After this, he quickly ran after Nate towards the base main gate.

The others watched the fight and could tell that out of the beast waves they have faced so far, this one, in particular, was the strongest. Not only was it strong, but they have some sort of a large number of the beast with them even bigger than two of the beast wave attacks they have faced and no doubt, if they have continued to fight, the third wave would have been their end and they could not do a thing about that.
But lucky for them, Nate and his people have just arrived in time to save them from being annihilated by the beast wave.
"Is...it..over?" Johnson asked still couldn't believe that two people alone could kill a such large amount of beast with ease and the most frightening thing was that they don't look tired but instead were energized.
"We are saved, they saved us!" the other people that have helped out in the fight were already cheering out in jubilation.
"I don't know why but some parts of me hate seeing people happy," Lynn muttered herself. However, those beside her heard her loud and clear, but they understand why she felt this way. She was now a creature they clearly didn't understand though but they know one thing, she loves pain not happiness, though, she was someone with a heart of gold but her nature was kicking, but there is no need to worry since she won't start inflicting pain on them.
Lily felt complex about what to do, she was the one that kicked them out after all, but now they returned and had saved not just her life but also that of the entire base this was something she couldn't do herself, but one thing was for sure, she has to thank Nate and his group in a big way.
Meanwhile, eventually, the noise of those cheering on how they survived started to go down as the memories of those they have lost in the fight started to flash in their mind. Although Ron and V had been trying their best to maintain solid ground in the fight, they still lost some men in the fight, many in the base have lost people close to them such as a father, mother, brother, friends and so on.
And with those moments of silence going on with some suddenly breaking down in tears, Lynn was feeling happy inside, though, this was one thing she does not want to feel at a moment like this. With those thoughts, she started to absorb their sorrows and pain while transforming it into her energy she started giving out to all those that were present at that moment and soon everything goes back to normal.
"I don't really know how to thank you guys," V said to Bull.
"I don't deserve that, and by the way, not like we did it for free, you guys will pay us for our service," Bull lamented raising his eyebrows.
V know this will be some type of problem, what they will give to Nate and his group as a reward. He has mentioned to them the meteorite stone and beast crystal but only one person seems to take interest in that offer while the rest has no interest in them. 'Just what will they want or say what will they request from us, ' V started to think hard.
"Hey... I know you were awesome in using any long-range weapon but that those not tell why your bullets were able to kill a beast in one go," Shad said as he got up from the ground he was placed down on. His legs were now good all thanks to Lynn and now he can stand he went up to Twain who was on top of the car with his guns set.
"Ohhh... I think I know, you are one of them, you are superhuman and so is Levi, how did all this happen?" Shad couldn't stop throwing questions their way.
"It a long strong story Shad, but I will just say that a lot has changed, we have changed and so has the world change, what matters the most is our survival," Twain said.
Just then, Shad could feel someone jumping on his back. "We thought you were dead," Dike said as he hugged Shad.
"What! How can you have such strength, or wait, you are one of them... Then how come I'm not also," Shad said and Dike finally let him go before he turned and pet his head. "You have always been special," Shad said petting Dike's head.
"So, you all are superhuman, if that's so, what is your power captain," Shad said referring to Bull. He said this everyone's face changed, they were those with shock such as Lily and V with the others, while Twain and the other zombies has frowned faces.
"I would prefer if you don't call me that anymore, I'm a loser, I couldn't defend my people," Bull said with a sad voice though but it soon returned to a smile.
"I understand, but it's none of our faults, no one has expected an event like this to occur if not, we would have been prepared and dealt with what so ever comes our way," Shad said in understanding. He knows how Bull must be feeling, he felt the same way after managing to escape the base after it seems like everyone has turned into a zombie. The spiritual squad battalion soldiers live like family and steak together and the zombie mutation has destroyed their base with everyone turning into zombies.
"Just like Twain said, everything has changed, we have changed," Bull said ending it there. Shad himself didn't want to push further towards the meaning behind those words.
Meanwhile, just then, they could see two figures approaching them, one was ahead of the other and soon the two arrived before them.
"We are leaving," Nate said as he stopped, the other horde did not have much to say and was ready to leave.
"Wait! Why? Why would you leave so soon," Lily said as he approach them.
"This has nothing to do with your previous decision, this has something to do with us, trust me, just like you said, our existence in this base is threatening,"
Lily wanted to push further but they were all interrupted by a shout from the sky as a large humanoid shadow was cast over them. Just only from landing on the ground, the whole base shook violently throwing the others out of balance.
The large humanoid figure rushed towards Mini and grabbed her. "Share we continue where we stopped before the beast interrupted us," Hulk said holding Mini hostage again.
