For some reason still unknown to Nate, he seems to be always alarmed when standing before the person his system classified as NPC. He does not know if it was because of the man's phasing power or because of the strange device he always carries with him, but he does not want to stay close to the Leo at all.
However, right in front of him, he just found out that his newly initiated members know of this man and couldn't help but be shocked.
"You guys know him?" Nate asked still shocked.
"Of course, we know Doc Leo, he's the one our lives from the hands of those mother fuckers and that brought us to this place, he once worked for our former boss, but the two had some problems and...," Leo has to nudged Zuni shoulder in a gesture telling him he was saying too much.
"You worked for someone? Wait, you are no NPC," Nate said taking steps back.
"You are misunderstanding something here, you should remember that this is not what you think it is," Leo said and walked further into the room.
He waved his hand and a small mist seems to appear and took shape of a chair and he sat down. "I came with the news, " He said.
"Who cares, I want to know how you a related," Nate said ignoring Leo and now facing Cab and Max.
"Leo use to work for our former boss, he use to be one of his most trusted men till the apocalypse broke out," Cab explained. As someone that once worked for Sin as the base to leaders, he know some of the secret things going on in the base back then.
"You said something about him saving your lives, how did that happen?" Nate questioned.
"I will answer that," Leo said. "This information is not worth setting a trial, so count it as a bonus answer," Leo said before going down to explain to Nate a few things about the three people he initiated into his horde.
"Just like you, this fugitive one lived in the wealthy and prosperous Panama City. Their boss was even the reason why the zombie virus has spread the vast majority in the city, but I won't explain how" Leo said. He could already see it in his eyes of Nate when he mentioned what their previous boss did.
"You must have known that the matrix first sent some group of people at you when you were still in the town of Halloween,"
Nate wasn't surprised that Leo has the idea of where he has been, rather, he was wondering when Leo might have been following them through their journey.
"The five matrix seems to be wise after failing to get to you on their first try, they decided to plan bigger and gather more resources and their base was the only place they could think of," Leo said pointing in Cab and Max's direction.
"I won't say more, all you need to know is that the majority of the manpower and firepower the matrix used in the battle against you was brought from their base," Leo ended the explanation there.
Nate hate the fact that Leo wouldn't explain more about what happened, but he still learned a few things in the end and that was, the matrix must has inflate Max, Zuni and Cab's base and with their possessing power, they must have made most of the workers of the base to turn against their boss starting an inner fight, weakening the strength of the base. And by the time the base might have been at its most vulnerable moment, then the matrix strikes and took over the base.
Nate could only think of one person capable of bringing such an idea. 'Mia, just a trickster,'
"So you were the person those matrix people were seeking and warranted them to come and attack our happy base?" Max questioned Nate as he was wondering why Nate was still alive. "Didn't they use the firepowers on you or you were just too strong for all the weapons to the enough?" Max mind was sinking as the mouth of nate single-handedly faded off an entire army.
"I didn't do it alone, I have my army with me," Nate answeredShocking the three men.
"So, you have an army out there? That made sense why you are still alive, but even at that, I know the true strength of our base, the matrix was only able to win against us because they already have a majority of our men under them, so there is no way you can survive them if they attack with the base full strength," Max said.
"Since they didn't succeed in killing you, does that mean you killed them ?" Zuni asked. Honestly, they still wish to one day go back to Panama and live their lives as normal one day.
"I was so close to killing them till things change, anyways, I'm still going to hunt them down and finish the job," Nate said.
On hearing what Nate said, Max stood up and walked over to Nate. "I will like to accompany you in finishing the job," He said.
"Me too,"
"Me too,"
Both Zuni and Cab agreed in helping Nate get rid of the matrix. With that being said Nate was ready to hear from Leo.
"What was the news you have?"
Leo waved his hand in front of them and a hologram screen appeared. "Someone seems to be looking for you," Leo said as they watch what was being played by the hologram screen.
It was a video of a snow-white skin creature that Nate and the others could only describe as whitebonez, but the one on the screen seems to be different and even looked stronger than the one Nate killed. They have an extra shorthand with claws on their shoulder, then the snakes from their bending hunchback were two times stronger than the one Nate killed and their teeth were not like a viper feng like the one Nate killed, rather, it was jagged and spread in circles around its mouth.
"What type of whitebonez is that, they look scarier than the one we saw," Zuni commented.
"I don't know a name for this particular whitebonez as you guys call it, but one thing is for sure, they are stronger than the one you killed," Leo said.
Once again, Nate was left to think how Leo managed to be following his movement all this while. Regardless, he know he shouldn't bother about that but rather should think of why Leo was bringing up the such matter now.
"What are they doing?" Nate asked. From what was displayed on the holographic screen, it was as if the whitebonez were looking for something, or to say, someone.
"They are looking for someone," Leo answered.
"Who?" Nate asked thinking that Leo might give out a piece of useful information without knowing it.
"The person that killed their brother of course," Leo answered and it was at this moment nate realized what Leo meant.
"So, they are looking for me, but why haven't they found me, like, they have a strong smelling sense, they should have at least sniffed their way to me," Nate said.
"The thing is that they are sniffing towards you with the scent of their brother," Leo explained. "After you killed their brother, you took the heart and brain of the whitebonez, since you have placed it into your inventory, the smell of the two organs could not be licked, that's why you are still standing in one place," Leo explained and it seems like he was about to leave.
Nate seems to be understanding why the whitebonez haven't found him and that's all because the two organs he extracted from whitebonez body were placed in his inventory and their smell could not lick out. "It made sense that way," Nate muttered to himself. However, he could see as Leo has made the chair disappear as he was ready to leave.
"Wait!" Nate called him back. "The system classified the whitebonez as a manmade zombie and also was the one that suggested I take the two organs, I don't know what to do with them so can you explain to me what use it can be?" Nate asked.
"You have a skill that can access a creature's brain storage after they are dead, why don't you use it on the brain, maybe you might find your answers," Leo said and was about to leave when he suddenly stopped and throw something at Nate.
"You will need this for your next trip up the mountain," Leo said and left the room.
Meanwhile, Nate and the others were surprised by what Leo just gave thrown at Nate.
"Isn't that the glove gauntlet that was made for TNT?!"
