He expected Lucien to argue or push him away or worse, looks at him in disgust. However, it wasn't so. Lucien instead thanked him.
"You have not only helped me once but twice." Lucien instead bowed towards him. "I am in your debt, and you are my benefactor now."
Aleksander folded his arms and spoke, "Lady Lucien, you are saying as though I have done something much more than helping."
"Indeed.." Lucien stood straight and immediately answered. "You not only saved my life but my friend's as well."
"However, you are exaggerating a little too much." He as well responded immediately. "Anyone would have done it in my place." He watches how she was unwilling to admit that what he had done was anything greater. However, he did not expect her to speak in a manner that would make him feel more respected towards her.
