I don't know if Duke Theron is rushing me to learn or he is just giving the other works to me, while I am still at the process of learning at academic, business and political affairs or Drivike.
I've read a lot of books, analyze each of them and tried to apply on each situation at Duke Theron land. Some of them are easy to deal with, while the other is difficult. Especially the part where I can't go to the place that I should check.
But this time, I'm going to check the gold mine that the Duke's Theron property.
He want me to check it out, because there's an issue that his people is dealing with.
"Lady Critesa, can you deliver this finished papers to the butler and distribute them?" I said while signing the documents that I am done reading.
"Sure my lady, do you want some tea?" I looked at my wine bottle, and pointed out the wine bottle.
"Some replacement, I think I need them, after I finish all of this." I said and continue to read the documents that is about the businesses establishment at the land of Duke Theron.
This day is kind of busy and hectic. But at least I am done at preparing everything that I need, before my visit tomorrow.
Because I don't want to travel and leave the documents here that needed to be sign. For approval and for checking each of it.
My fore head creased when I saw the name of my brother. Asking for permission at building some shop at the mainland of Duke Theron's land.
I want to decline it, but I have a feeling that there is something else that will going to build to that land.
"Maybe he has a plan, let's see what my brother are up to." I signed the documents that is needed to be signed.
I smiled and look at my ceiling. "What a terrific smile of yours, do you have a plan already?" I'm a bit shocked when Duke Theron appears at the balcony of library.
"Nothing, my brother is planning to build something to your mainland. I signed it and my gut feeling said that there is something else is going on that plan of his." I said and stand up, Duke Theron gently pat my head and smile.
"You're working hard for a month that you're staying here and learning a lot day by day." I smile again and get some wine.
Take a sip and enjoying the view of the night sky. How peaceful here at the villa.
I still receive some news about the Gribe, my father and at the Drivike empire.
All of the news are still the same. How Emperor Kier is ruling the Gribe now, but still not marrying any woman at the empire. My father, continuing to become greedy and trying to find where I am now. My brother who's not thinking and comfortable at the position that he had.
"I am enjoying how horrible their situation is, and my father is not aware of the depth of darkness he is encountering with." I explain and look at the bottle of wine.
"I just wish that I can stay naive, but if this is really my path, then I have no choice." I said and clear my throat before drinking my wine.
"The delicious part of the night is the wine, how tasty it was, when life is fucked up and hard to handle." I smiled and Duke Theron get the wine glass at my hand, drink it, all at once.
"It's really delicious, but you gotta be careful at drinking too much, it's bad for your health." I nod and Lady Criseta knocked. Opened the door with the bottle of wine.
A cold one.
"You want to drink with me?" I asked and he nod, smiling from ear to ear and helped me to open the wine bottle.
"I'll leave now, my lady." Lady Critesa bowed her head before leaving the library.
"I can't believe that even the small spawn of time, you learned a lot. It's really true that the blood of Rebinity is within you." He sat down while praising me that hard.
"How ironic it was, Drivike is the terror dragon that was slained by the first emperor. And even the first emperor, his attitude shown that he is greedy, same as my father." I sat down at the sofa and put some wine at my glass.
"That's true, he took over a near country, and hostage the princess, the first empress. That's why the city of Peritia become the capital of Drivike. Because that land is belong to the first empress. The Drivike become bigger, especially when the nobility of Drivike become bigger." I nod and looking at the map of Drivike.
"This is my land, the windsor. Now, we are at the Villa Estonia, my mother is the original owner of this Villa. But when she died, I took over this Villa. And this is the safest place at the Windsor, even I hold the biggest army force of Drivike. The mines that I owned here at Windsor is located at the lower part of Windsor, almost near the sea." Duke Theron pointed out the location of the mines.
"The capital of Drivike, what are their main source?" He asked me and I looked at Duke Theron.
"Entertainment, trading and other services, because Drivike is near to the modern civilization." Duke Theron nod and pointed out the other part of Drivike empire.
"Itumg." I read it and he nod.
"The holy land is part of Drivike empire. That land is the last part that the Drivike took over way back before." I nod and remember all of the details that Duke Theron is saying.
"Okay, I remember all of the details. But how about the origin of my mother, I know that she is just a dancer, but I wonder where she is from?" I said and Duke Theron shrug his shoulder and took a deep breath.
"Unfortunately, even I has no idea. It's just your mother who has no record at the empire." He explained and I look down on my thighs.
"All I know is she's Yella Trixe Toriyzn, a dancer wandering dancer from the north, and we don't know if she has a divine powers. But I heard that the people from the north is curses, not divine powers."
I nod and look at the wine, so there's a possibility that this isn't a curse after all, but why there's a people who got affected by my eyes?
"But still, why the emperor Blake become under my curse, but the other didn't." I asked while sipping at my wine.
"We will find out soon, but for the mean time. Focus on business and other affairs, because that's what your father's speciality. To find your weak spot." I nod and continue to drink some wine.
"I can't believe that I am capable of doing this things, because all my life, I am being mistreated and they never see the opportunity at me. That's why I lost hope." I lean on the sofa and close my eyes.
The portrait of my mother, she has one portrait, at my place.
She look exactly like me, but her eyes is not red. It's violet.
I wish I was normal person, because I also want to experience some things that normal people do.
I have a lot of restrictions, and now. I am at the position where if I made a mistake, they will take advantage each of it.
Maybe, I need to become more aware of my environment, gotta be careful and do my best to expose all of their deets, so people of Drivike will lost their trust to the ruler.
I already compile all of the lapses of my father, and trying to look at his affairs lately.
I need more time to take a look at it, wait for them to commit some mistake that even their own people won't tolerate them, and I have to set up some plan.
"You're thinking too much now. You're really different from the woman that I met at beach last time, you're getting sophisticated on your own way, that's surprising." Sip at my glass wine, and it's already gone.
"Why, you want me to act like the same, when we are together?" I am looking straight to his eyes, and I saw how the Duke's adams apple moved.
"My lady, I know that your beauty is really a captivating one, breath taking. But I suggest that you should stop looking at me in that way, I might think that you're seducing me." I laugh hard and shook my head.
"Funny, you have a wild ideas, Duke Theron." I look at the bottle of wine, it's almost run out.
"I'll get another bottle of wine, you still drink?" The Duke Theron asked me, and I nod politely.
"Wow, your alcohol tolerance is surprising." I look away and hiding my glass wine.
Even I, surprised that it take a long way before I feel that I am drunk. Which is I never experienced that.
I just keep drinking and wait for me to pass out, or signs that I had enough at the alcohol. But I failed to see when is my end at drinking alcohol.
The door closes, and a bird went to my balcony. It has letter and I think it's some report.
I went back to my seat and read the letter. It's from Akeldama. Reporting that he's okay, and he missed me that much, he didn't ask for a reply to his message, but he's hoping now that I am beside him because he missed me so much?
He's really a weirdo.
The idea of I wonder when he will be back, because I have a plan, and I need him, I also need Kier to my plan, but I need to plan it well, before I will involve those people.
A perfect plan, that will surprise everyone. That's what I need. I am capable of doing it, but what will happen, how I will handle them if I successfully execute my plan.
Maybe I will look like a greedy one, just like my father.
And if I did it, I am the same as my father. But they can't blame me, that's all I can do for the betterment of Drivike.
"Two bottles of cold wine, and roasted chicken." I automatically look behind me, my eyes glow and the butler place the chicken and ice.
"Wow, all of my hard work is worth it. The piles of papers that I finished in one sitting. Thank you that you're home." I get my empty glass and Duke put some wine.
"I'm sorry if it take one week before I came home, the affairs at the Drivike is getting serious, because of the secret affair that your father is encountering now." I get some chicken before drinking the wine.
"I thought I still have paper works here, but I think you work hard today." I placed the glass and pointed out the mines.
"I'll visit the mines tomorrow, I heard that you're leaving tomorrow?" I asked and he nod.
"Yeah, I will be back at the Drivike, at the mines, I will give the full authority about that, don't consider my opinion and decide for it as soon as possible if your decision is needed." I nod and stand up, but I lost my balance.
The Duke Theron catched me, holding my waist and when I look at his face, he's looking at me, and his cheeks are all red, same to his ears.
"You're really gorgeous, how lucky I am to have a fiance like you." I closed my eyes when his hands touches my cheeks and I felt the heat that started at my cheeks.
Maybe this is the effect of alcohol.
"Delaney." My eyes opened automatically and too late, Duke Theron's lips touches mine.
