After eating, Erniang quickly tidied up the kitchen and went to find Xiaocao's mother, accompanied by Jiang Hu, who also happened to be looking for Zhang Yuan.
At Zhang Yuan's house, they had just finished eating as well. Xiaocao and her sister were washing dishes and sweeping the floor, while Zhang Yuan was getting ready to leave with a hoe on his shoulder. He was surprised to see Jiang Hu and Erniang coming over together.
"Brother Jiang? It's rare to see both of you coming over together. Is there something you need from us?"
Jiang Hu nodded, "Actually, yes. I'm planning to build a new duck shed and need a few people to help. Erniang is here to talk to your wife about raising pigs."
"Oh, I see. The children's mother is at the pigsty right now because the sow is giving birth, and she's been watching over it. Why don't you go find her, sister-in-law?"
Erniang was delighted to hear this. "Really? Then I must go check it out. Our sow is due soon too."
