The other Soul Mate of Rex decided to ensure that he did not see what they were putting on Aina. So he had to leave until he saw her that night.
It was hard not be focused on the Soul Mate marriage that would happen once nightfall came. It was even harder not to think about what had happened the previous day.
He went and knocked on the door that led to the Fenrir's room. Surprisingly, it was already open. He walked in and closed the door behind him.
When he turned around a pair of glowing eyes stared at him. Then the candles and sunlight it the room. Rex was able to see the Fenrir in a half state.
All four legs were there, the face was still mostly human, the tail was too short to be called a tail, but the biggest thing was the fur. The fur was not completely long but it was not so short to be called hair. It had the right amount of shiniest to it to also be memorizing.
"Welcome back, Rex."
Rex was stunned at how the voice was partially human and partially the Fenrir. He was stunned at how much he could tell that this was truly a good thing.
"Thank you for having me."
The woman did not know why Rex had come to see her but she could tell that something about yesterday really affected him.
"When we entered our room yesterday, it had already become night. How amd why does that happen?" Rex truly wanted to know.
"Have you seen Tiamat before? A five headed dragon that can move through space and time, controls elements through Mana not Qi and has a banger of a woman body."
Rex was stunned that this Fenrir knew of the Tiamat. He wondered why this was being brought up now.
"I do. I helped her when I was in the Mortal Realm."
The face smiled and it looked more like a visual effect than a true smile.
"She grants powers to those who wield mystical powers in other worlds. She cultivated power and strength and learned how to bend reality because she is strong.
I heard the same thing happened to you. You went back in time to restart your cultivation. That alone is her power and probably a way to ensure that if something were to fail the gods would have a backup plan.
To think that they used the backup plan to force you a Mortal Body Cultivator to restart your cultivation is something unheard of, even in the other worlds."
Rex was stunned because he did not know that was why he was able to restart the cultivation process.
"Even then, Tiamat does not care how or why people use her power. She does forget about who uses her power."
The look on Rex's face told the Fenrir he did not understand what she meant.
"Alright. Think of it like this, One Master three students. The Master teaches each one Fire Qi. Once they use it on their own, the Master completely forgets that he was the one who taught them Fire Qi. That is what happens with Tiamat."
Rex understood it a little better.
"I was granted a power by her to accelerate time. However, we have to be in my lake in order to do so. That is my trigger to grow stronger. Each time I get bathed by people who are either humans or humanoids I can accelerate the process of when you all return to your home.
I did mess up and send you back right at nightfall. That was an accident that I could not control anymore. Since I cannot reverse time, Tiamat will always know when and who I use my powers on."
Rex understood the sequence of events now. He was still worried that she smelled like floral. He asked her about that.
"The floral smell is what makes me not control the time powers. Although it is embarrassing to know that your Qi made it smell like that. It was something neither one of us could control.
Of course, maybe in the future you can make it not smell like that but it is still embarrassing to know that some people are truly kindhearted."
Rex did not know to laugh or hug the Fenrir. Something told him that either way, she would always be around him and his wives in the future.
"May I ask your name?" Rex truly decided to ask.
"Oh, little honey bun wishes to know my name." She gave a huge teethy smile and said, "I am Fenrir the Maiden of the Lake, my sister is known as the Fenrir the Shadow of the Lake. You have met her before."
Rex immediately thought of the Shadow Fenrir. She knew he immediately connected the dots.
"Yes. We were both supposed to become a pair. One would become a male and the other stayed as a female. When the day came and the Shadow People awaited for one of us. My sister told me of vision she had seen and a picture of you from her memory was placed inside of me.
It did not register that was you until she appeared after you all left. We talked. I was stunned because she had a marvelous body of Shadow Mana and could easily show her tails off now.
The Shadow Mana injected into her turned her into the Nine Tailed Fox that belonged to our Father. We were given the lake as a place to always be able to enter and bathe together.
Her memories shifted to the two of us being Nine Tailed Foxes instead of Fenrirs.
That was alright. We will always be sisters. However, do not think for a moment that I will accept a man who already gave my sister a child. I will accept you being my brother-in-law."
Rex chuckled and gave her a hug. He was afraid of her actually being left alone and now wanted to ensure that she gets to be a part of the family.
