As soon as he said this reason, Arren frowned as he furrowed his brows. He held the key? What key? He couldn't understand, and he never remembered that he held a key for something.
Other than him, everyone more or less had a clue about it, even Spade, who wasn't surprised by this answer and yet was still clueless about what it meant.
Arren lifted his gaze and met Spade's eyes almost instantly as the alpha also looked at him. They both looked at each other, gripping the other's hand, seemingly to assure each other.
They returned their attention to Curt; they didn't need to say anything more as the alpha had already started to speak once more.
"When we failed on..." he paused before glancing at Arren for a split second before he continued, "... capturing the Young Master, I still didn't see the big deal since we can have a chance again or abandon the idea. But... the team leader called me..." Curt swallowed, having difficulty putting his mind to words again.
