[Mindful] In My New Reality: DxD

...Huh? Could've sworn I was just... oh, right.

I died.

Still feeling off slightly, I attempted to sort myself out, observing my surroundings.

"Rather dark... I suppose I did put this on myself." I thought whilst reminiscing on what occured just minutes ago, although my perception of time was rather jumbled in that... dimension.

...

"Yo." A large, magestic voice spoke out to a soul, finally reaching it's destination. The soul, although expressionless, seemed to have an amused aura around it, amused at the words the majestic voice said.

"Hah... hearing such a deep, resonant tone say 'Yo.' is rather amusing." The soul spoke to itself, sniffling a laugh as it further inspected the strange space it found itself in.

Looking around, there was only darkness, interrupted by the occasional universe shimmering off in the distance, giving off a majestic glow that helped to ease the pure darkness that would certainly drive any normal person to insanity after observing for too long.

Breaking out of this stupor, the soul spoke to the voice, asking what was happening. "Excuse me, but do you know where we are?... or maybe *why* we are?" The soul mused, waiting patiently for the voice to respond.

"We are currently in the void, a place where all souls go when the body it once inhabited dies." The voice responded, garnering more and more interest in the soul in front of him, baffled due to just how different he was when compared to all other souls that showed up here.

"Huh... guess I died then. Too bad... I didn't get to finish that book... what was it called? Bah, can't be bothered to remember." The soul spoke casually, further amusing the voice.

"Anyways, this is the part where I get to reincarnate with three wishes, correct?" The soul said, almost expectantly.

"Well, not precisely. I do tend to reincarnate souls when they die, but you seem to expect to choose where you go, based on your current thoughts." The voice said, responding to the expectant soul who put on a decidedly melancholy face.

"Aw, shucks. Well, no harm no foul. How about wishes, though? Or was the ROB I read about so many times in the past just a fabrication?" The soul asked, mildly disappointed at the information it just took in.

Looking at the soul before sighing, the voice responded lazily. "Yeah, I guess I can let you take a few wishes. I don't mind much. Whatcha got in mind, pal?"

"Hm... give me a minute to think." The soul said, excited at the prospect of wishes.

...

Ah, I remember now. I spoke to that ROB earlier, and did those wishes... heh, with those bad boys, I should be able to live lazily no matter where I end up. Well, no matter anyways. I suppose I just have to wait for the birthing process to take place. He... was it a he? said I would have to wait to be born. Kind of an inconvenience, but I do not kind much.

[8 months later...]

A young woman around the age of 27 was laying on a hospital bed, holding a little boy with a small tuft of black hair on his head. A man next to the bed was looking at this sight with a warm smile, happy that the birth went well with his beloved wife.

"How are you feeling, Chiyo?" The man asked, inquiring about how she felt at the moment.

"I am feeling fine, Hiroto. You worry too much." The beautiful black-haired woman said, bashing her husband with a light. smile adorning her perfect face

...

Ugh, enough with the lovey-dovey already. I guess this is the part where I should start crying so we can get outta this atmosphere.

[2 years later...]

Waking up in my small bed, I stretched my child like limbs, looking back on the last two years living with my mother, Chiyo, and my father, Hiroto. Smirking slightly, I remembered when I started to walk and my folks freaked out, surprised that a one-year-old could walk already. "Highschool DxD though, huh?" I spoke aloud to myself, reminiscing on how I came to find out that I was in the world of Highschool DxD through the hospital I was born in being called Kuoh Hospital.

Remembering the wishes I made, I decided to open the status I have looked at a few times already
