Chapter 121 - Chapter 121: Not Fins

"Captain, is that a shark?!" Deep grabbed the doorframe with one hand, half his body hanging outside the door, peering at the distant sea lit up by the searchlights.

Quickly estimating the distance between them, Charles judged that the dorsal fin was nearly two meters long.

He couldn't make out the true size of the thing underwater—the seawater kept it concealed.

"Just keep an eye on it. If nothing weird happens, ignore it." Char gripped the wheel and spoke.

If it's just some people-eating giant sharks, that's fine; compared to other shit out here, natural creatures are downright adorable.

Charles thought they'd simply brush past each other, but more fins surfaced from the water below.

They gathered up, herding together like a flock of sheep, swimming toward the side of the ship.

When they reached the front of the ship, the sheer number of crowded fins made even the crew standing on the iron deck uneasy.
