On the desolate plain, Charles walked blindly forward; all his crew had vanished, leaving only him alone.
He had no idea how long he'd been walking, nor how much longer he must go, but some force compelled him to continue on.
Suddenly, a red burglar-proof door pasted with a lopsided "Fu" character appeared before him—it was the door to his home.
A spark of excitement appeared on Charles's numb face as he rushed toward it, "I'm going home! I found it!"
The door opened, but beyond it was nothing—there wasn't even simple Darkness, only endless nothingness.
Charles's body jolted violently; he woke from his nightmare.
He discovered a book laid out in front of him, his hand gripping a pen, endlessly scribbling over the pages.
"Buddy, you had another nightmare. Hang on a sec, let me finish the end of this chapter, then the body's back to you."
