"Relax, the Governor wouldn't do that," Charles said to the person in front of him.
"How do you know? Are you the Governor?" the passerby sneered, sizing up the guy in front of him who barely even had eyebrows.
"Of course he is—" Lily was about to retort, but Charles immediately stopped her.
"Come on, let's go check out somewhere else," Charles said, turning to walk out of the square.
There's no point in arguing with him. He'll understand once the new decree is posted on the announcement board.
Charles led Lily forward, and the two of them passed through the square to reach the so-called Island Heart District.
Of course, due to the shortage of building materials, the Island Heart District wasn't in much better shape than before—the only difference was that the people here dressed a little better.
The inhabitants here, aside from the staff serving in the Governor's Mansion, were the exploration crew who had once struggled alongside Charles.
