Staring at the red fishing line, everyone present stared with wide eyes.
If the old woman's disappearance could have been attributed to some other accident, then the fishing line shattered everyone's illusions. There was definitely danger up there, and it was a deadly one.
"How strong were those two?" Charles asked Hun, holding the fishing line.
"They were Second Rank, but with their relics, they could reach Third Rank."
Charles recalled the moment the line had shuddered. It had gone from taut to slack in under two seconds. This meant that whatever was up there, its strength far surpassed their own. Those two people hadn't even had a chance to resist before being killed instantly.
Compared to the frowning Charles, the surrounding Light Sect devotees were panicked, their faith beginning to crumble.
