The crash of such enormous rocks was like a localized earthquake. Many of the makeshift huts collapsed, and any creature exposed to the sunlight that ran too slowly fell to the ground, entering an eternal slumber.
Charles lifted his head and looked up. Vaguely, he saw a familiar Fake Star flickering incessantly above the dome. As soon as the star went dark, another giant rock plummeted.
He flew swiftly into the air and shouted, "Everyone, follow me! Those bastards above already know we're going to attack them! They're not stupid—we need to stop them quickly!"
After speaking, Charles beat his wings and rapidly soared upward. Soon, the other Airships and helicopters followed.
As they drew closer, Charles finally saw the Fake Star's true form. The flickering light was actually the glowing abdomens of mantises, hanging upside down from the ceiling in a flower-like formation.
