Margaret, her face veiled, gripped Charles's hand nervously. She looked at the elderly man in a white lab coat before her and asked, "Doctor, how is he? Has Mr. Charles's condition improved?"
The old man sighed and shook his head. "I'm sorry. We've tried every conventional treatment plan, but there hasn't been the slightest improvement. Can you tell me what caused your husband's illness?"
A troubled look crossed Margaret's face. She suddenly realized how little she truly knew about Mr. Charles.
Seeing the young woman's expression, the doctor didn't press the matter. "Based on what you've told me, his previous occupation was a crew member. I suspect this is not a psychiatric disorder."
"Doctor, are you saying Mr. Charles doesn't have a mental problem? Then what kind of problem is it?"
