With a long blast of its horn, the Narwhal slowly pulled into the dock of the gray, dusty island.
Ships from the Southern Sea Domain were clearly different from those of the North Sea Domain. There was something more primitive mixed in with the steel and steam. Outside the chilly steel hull was a framework of ivory-white whale bone.
"Mr. Charles, what are those white things on the ship?" Lily asked curiously from her perch on his shoulder.
"If I'm not mistaken, those should be the bones of a Levi-whale. I've heard Krona say these whales are a specialty of the Southern Sea Domain."
"I see," Lily said, curiously watching the ships coming and going.
The anchor chains slid down rapidly, striking faint sparks. When the chains came to a halt, the crew of the Narwhal began to disembark.
