Several dry, twisted black tentacles shot out from behind Charles, piercing directly through the machine gunner's chest. The tentacles yanked the corpse toward them, and the sound of tearing flesh and chewing came from Charles's back as Anna's horrifying body rapidly regenerated. She had revealed her true form: a monstrous creature of the Divva Clan, her tentacles wrapped around Charles's waist, clinging to his back like a barnacle.
Charles dove straight down, catching a gunman in his mouth and sucking greedily at his blood as the Blood Thirst began to set in. Before he could drain the man dry, Anna's tentacles thrust a half-dead soldier in front of him. With a fierce, wide-open mouth, Charles bit into the new victim's neck, clamping him in his jaws as he charged toward the surrounding troops.
