Five days later, Charles sat in his office, listening to the Guard's report.
"Governor, according to the Navy's intelligence department, we haven't found a way for a Deep to turn back into a human."
"All records indicate they were Deeps from the start, not humans who transformed. There might be methods for humans to become Deeps, but there are no records of a Deep turning back into a human."
Deep's carefree grin flashed through Charles's mind, and he exhaled slowly. Is there really no way to turn that kid back?
"Keep searching. If you can't find anything in the North Sea Domain, then go to the Southern Sea Domain and the West Sea Domain. This world defies logic, so there has to be a way."
"Yes, Governor!" The Guard snapped to attention and saluted.
