RUSTLE. RUSTLE. The sound of green leaves brushing against pant legs echoed continuously.
Charles led his crew, swiftly weaving through the dense forest with a swarm of rats leading the way. Shock mingled with a hint of excitement on his face, as if he was anticipating something.
As they pushed through another thicket, an enormous object suddenly loomed before them.
It was a submarine, or more precisely, a half-built one. Judging by its appearance, it would probably never be finished. Green vines and wild grass crawled all over this marvel of human technology.
Someone got trapped here. They were trying to escape using the submarine! Charles instantly came to this conclusion.
Was it the one who controlled the White Beast? Charles immediately dismissed the idea. If it were really him, he would have escaped long ago with the White Beast's help.
"Mr. Charles, should we go take a look?" The blue Lily tugged at Charles's pant leg and called out.
