"Charles, want some? The sea urchin sushi from Cafeteria No. 3 is the best," Tuba said, chewing as he pushed the plate in front of Charles.
Charles glanced at the food, then his gaze returned to the giant head that was still approaching. "Is his Ability to conjure things?"
"That's right, it's my Ability. I can turn anything I think of into a physical object—though only inanimate things, of course," 399's voice boomed, full of confidence.
As the oppressive, giant head slowly drew nearer, the crew behind Charles took a few slight steps back, their faces filled with fear.
"Tuba, long time no see. Where have you been?"
"I haven't been anywhere. Mitra and I have just been adventuring up there." The two of them began to chat casually, just like old friends.
Charles interrupted their harmonious conversation. "399, where are the human test subjects who came down with you?"
So many people couldn't have just vanished. If they're still around, I might be able to get more clues from them.
