By the time he was above their destination, the gear-masked ones had surrounded him again. These things were like mites on Swan's body—they were everywhere.
"Help me hold them off! Light all the explosives and give them to me!" Charles shouted.
Using his transparent tentacles, he wrapped up all the explosives with their lit fuses, stomped his foot, and leaped off the edge.
The wind whooshed past his ears as he plummeted downwards, upside down.
Soon, Charles was in front of Swan's gigantic eye. As he hung upside down in the center of the pupil, the massive orb—the size of a small soccer field—took notice of him.
