"This is my crew member. She used to be human, but now she's been turned into a mouse. Does your Church have any way to change her back?" Charles asked, carefully cradling the mouse in his hands, but it was clear the Pope had no intention of answering.
"So the reason your departure is indefinitely postponed is because of this? A mouse?" The Pope laughed as he sat on the couch, but his eyes held no mirth.
Charles stroked Lily's head, shaking his own in regret. "Lily isn't a mouse. She was just turned into one by some unknown means. To be precise, she's human, just not from our world."
With a sharp movement, the Pope shot to his feet, his voice once again tinged with anger. "Don't talk to me about this! Do you not want to return home?"
"Of course I do. But my crew member's life is in danger. I have to find a way to cure her before I search for the exit to the Earth's surface. You still haven't answered my question. Does your Church have a way or not?"
